Unexpected gem
After reading the reviews I launched the game not really knowing what to expect. Maaaan, I was in for a surprise. The setting is amazing, the clothing (tricornes!) is sooo aestethically pleasing. The story is quite interesting, Searching for a cure for a deadly plague while at the same time uncovering buried secrets regarding your country and your past for both of those plots to intertwine during the ending. NPCs are okay too, some of their personal quests do push forwards or influence the main plot. Fights? Taking a shot with a musket between melee attacks is strangely satisfying. Did I mention the tricornes yet? Runs flawlessly on Linux under Lutris/Proton, I had to edit the installation script to remove The Adventurer's Gear DLC as I don't own it. The bad? A bit clunky movement, be careful to lock your targets during fights because otherwise it gets random (to the point of shooting your musket into the air, hitting no one). Animations, especially speech, yikes. Overall? I had lots of fun with the game, certainly worth it.
