Point and click as well as walking simulators is some of the games I hate most in this world, so this ain't for me and I have to score it accordingly. However..It's short and doesn't look half bad, I'd say it's a perfect introduction to the genre, short and simple.

This game took me 20 minuets to beat and the story was bland and boring. The puzzles were overly simplistic and the dialog was corny. THIS IS NOT WORTH 20 DOLLARS.

Appealing story, but it's too short, way too linear and everything is handed to you on a silver-plate. Basically, you do not need to look for secrets, secret rooms, codes etc. It will be handed to you, crystal clear before you even notice it. Decent story, but more worth a novel than to be in a game like with, with such limited game play which only takes about a 1½ to complete on first try.

I think the lesser reviews come from people who expected a 'game', it's not, its an interactive story. You get the bits and pieces of the story via exploration, finding pages of journals, rummaging around drawers for clues. I found it very enjoyable. The ambiance was very immersive. It IS short, like others said, took me around 3 hrs with a break for supper in between. Thats ok as I got this on sale but I expect others buying at full price might feel a let down. Overall, it was an immersive exploration of a novella, though I kept expecting zombies, dead bodies or other heavily used game cliches to jump out at me it was rather a touching story which I wont spoil. I do feel that the devs could have gone into more detail on the other barely fleshed out sub plots with the other family members and the inheritance/haunted house issue. Maybe I missed a journal or clue but that was left hanging. will enjoy more offerings from this dev in the future
