I can shoot you later, if you want.
So Deconstructeam made an adventure with Rouge lite elements. Random elements and quick death. Yeah, this will be unfair. Your support doesn't return, situations change by default. It's a visceral, stressful experience. There is a lot of micromanagement. But still, Gwbw presents a great, dark story. Like a dark version of Firefly. Sergent Burden will be confronted, tortured and crawl on his teeth to the next chapter. The dialog trees are presented like in "Alpha Protocol". It's not about the words, but about the expression. Being angry, thinking or straight up lying. Results may vary. Beyond that, there is the ,micromanagement about getting food for the team, your Ammo to hunt and defend, calming down the group and just surviving the current mess. You will die, you will be pissed off, leaving the game frustrated. I did it. "Screw this!", I yelled. But came back for more. The satisfaction to get to the next chapter was always such a relief. And replaying some sections, new path opened up. New details on the well written and compelling characters emerged. I'm not surprised, that Devolver Digital picked this game. It fits into their catalog among Hotline Miami and Always Sometimes Monsters. If you're a fan of DevDig, you already bought Gods will be watching anyway.
