Could be an excellent game...

Well, it's a great game like a fresh mix of Disco Elysium in cyberpunk setting. Not so short (finished it in 10 hours), great narrative, interesting turning points. But the one thing breaks it all: game design of "level-ups". There is no experience points, so you need to choose carefully that you are saying. It ends up with a very bad roleplay: sometimes you are empathetic, sometimes you are blunt - and this fact breaks all roleplay. Well, in the first part of a game I lost a lot of chances to get more narrative routes just because I played as an irrational detective - neither logical nor empathetic. After first case I've stucked just with one specialization and a lot of unused trait points. And the game considers this situation as normal. So you'll definitely choose a psychopath path to maximize your stats - or won't see a good amount of content.

Self censorship again

Another self censored game. Some content showed in the trailer and in some screenshots (not presents on this store page) have been cut because nudity is bad and video game should only show dead bodies, exploding bodies, butchered bodies and dismembered bodies, but unclothed bodies are degrading.

Game starts very strong, but fizzles out

The game feels very front heavy on the quality parts; while the back end (mostly the last little bit) felt like I wanted to pull my teeth out and was just waiting for it to all be over. At least it was a manageable 10-11hour to finish a run. The trait system and how you get points towards each class/upgrade did not feel that good either. Don't be wishy-washy on your stance when choosing dialogue options, otherwise you will never have the points you want to upgrade with. Game lives or dies on how much enjoyment you get out of each unique area. And for me personally, every area but the first case one really wasn't that great. If the game ended at the first case then this review would be a 4.5/5 star review

Nice ideas, not great writing

I liked the concept of the game and playing it for an hour and a half, I thought it had pretty good ideas all over. However, I very quickly started noticing that the writing felt very often off. Characters kept saying things that made no sense, or they said them in a manner that made no sense. I was quite put off by that and it broke my immersion. Gameplay-wise, the game is interesting. I really like the clue system, where at any given time, a central question is being investigated, and clues can be uncovered by exploring and talking to characters. I also enjoyed the fact that there's multiple deductions one can make, but the game doesn't immediately tell you whether you're correct. I expect that one can fail a case by making the wrong deductions and finding it out after having gone down an incorrect path. I found the dialogue system a bit confusing sometimes, and perhaps a bit buggy. Overall it's a shame because a lot of work has obviously gone into this game and it's well made in many regards (not least of which, visually). Unfortunately I can't give it more than 2 stars after not really feeling like playing more after an hour and a half.

Buggy, inconsistent

Buggy Was locked out of an entire dialogue tree / path option at the end of a mission as the continue button broke Incosistent At more than one point I obviously discovered something yet hearing about it in an abstract and non obvious way triggered the clue for a deduction I like the core of the game, the enviroment and the writing. The final product is just bad.
