Challenging Strategy Management Game
I tried this game after watching CohhCarnage play it on his stream. FrostPunk is a very challenging strategy city management survival game. What I like about it is the variety of ways you can play out the scenarios and accomplish the goals of surviving. There are several trees of options from laws to tech to explore with moral choices along the way. It took me four tries to succeed at the first scenario. I highly recommend this game to anyone that enjoyed a game like Sim City from back in the day.

Good but quite short
Well the idea is really good and a lot of fun. Yes, I like this game very much. From time to time, it's very hard to fullfill all needs especially when you start to play. So it could have been five stars but - for the price of the game - it's far to short. There are just 4 stories to play - a fifth with the season pass but even the season pass is to expansive for what you get. I think there should be some free addons or a modding tool so there could be a customer content workshop.

Harsh, atmospheric, very good
Phew! I just finished my very first playthrough and that was something! I wasn't sure my city would be able to survive, the citizens werent' sure either, as their Hope was falling and Discontent was rising, but we did it! Against all odds. This game is something more than just a game, like it is with This War of Mine. You will remember it afterwards. It hits the right spot. There're many hard moral choices to do along the way which make you reflect for a while about what to do next. There's a lot of managing the resources, temperature of generator and heating hubs, and which Laws to introduce and which not. Even though it took me only 8 hours to finish the scenario, I immediately want to buy a Season Pass to experience more! And there are 2 more scenarios in the base game as well. The game looks very good, you do get a sense of isolation. Music hits all the right notes. Builds tension, keeps you engaged in what's going on. There is no tutorial, the game explains what to do along the way so it's alright in my opinion. Definitely worth playing!

It keeps calling me back...
I keep uninstalling this game because I think I'm done with it, but then I want to play it again. It kinda reminds me of chess or an old board game. Like a kid's toy or something. The game is set and there isn't anything there I haven't seen or played before, but I want to do it again. Now that I think about it, it's funny how most games these days want to make you work for progress in order to have fun. This one just wants you to have fun. Classic design philosophy I guess. Hopefully more developers will go back to this way of thinking.
