Freedom Planet

If you're lover of old retro style platforming games then Freedom Planet is worth having in your gaming library. It originally start off as a Sonic fan game, but the creator and the developers decided to change the game completely and have it's own unique identity which is pretty original and fresh again. A throwback to the classic Sonic series, Megaman series, Gunstar Heroes, Sparkster, and Rinstar which is a huge combination of them. Freedom Planet will make you fall in love in them again, this lovely action platformer features a interesting cast of characters and this time the main heroes are female than the usual male . This game has a phenomenal great soundtrack that is catchy and something you can't get enough from. Another thing is Freedom Planet could have been on PlayStation 1 and Sega Saturn back in 1998 or 1999! Since, it is huge nod to Japanese import titles of that time. With full voice acting, beautiful graphics, unique sounds, and a decent storyline. This game is not to be missed if you love Sonic and other action platforming games of old. So, buy this game today and be glad there are people who do it for the art instead of profit numbers. Support Freedom Planet and free the planet! Let me put it this way. The people who made this game are so deserving of our support, I actually waited until the game WASN'T on sale anymore before I bought it.

Amazing game, it got all things right, really good pixel art, nice music, good history (relative), nice gameplay. It feels like Sonic, but with some new mechanics. The only problem is that it have some really annoying bosses, the last one looks like you are playing with Sonic and fighting Sigma (from mega man x), don't feel right, but is amazing the feeling on defeating it.

Ok, I am on my 30s so I was very young when Sonic 3 and knuckles was released but I was fortunate enough to play it and LOVE IT. I never passed the fourth or fifth stage as a kid however, it was way too hard and the story was very simplistic, just enough for a kid to play. The designs said everything that had to be said. Now, this game makes me feel chills. It's like going back to that time but even better. The colours, the ABSOLUTELY AMAZING MUSIC, like seriously, wtf, the music is so GREAT, I have to look for the soundtrack because I would buy it right now. The characters are cute and interesting and cute and I love them all. The voice actors are incredibly good for a game. Like, dude, some triple A game wish to have such great voice actors, they do a very good job. Now, the only problem FOR ME is the story. It's so edgy and cringe and I was all the time laughing out loud. However, I am 100% sure that this is the feel Sonic was after back then when I was a kid, and I am 100% sure too that I would have LOVED the story, would I be 10 or even 12 years old. I mean, I am gonna gift this game to my niece as soon as he is old enough to grab a gamepad XD, I promise. I still didn't finish it, I don't know if I will have time because the difficulty is increasing and I am running out of lives, I am mid-game. So who knows, maybe the ending would make it even better. I can't but recommend it. Seriously. Specially if you are a sonic fan, you'll notice how they have improve the difficulty curve, I feel it much better than even Sonic Generations. The levels and replaybility is huge. What the hell, I think I am gonna play again. Who knows, maybe I actually finish the game. It's amazing. Very, very recommended.

Realy good platformer. with good story, fatst levels and cute retro graphic. Only last two levels are more arcade that should be, game is almost perfect.
