Incredible art style, animation, and characters. The story unrolls exactly how you think, but that's not necessarily that bad. Game was relatively short and I personally found the ending anti-climatic and somewhat frustrating, but overall its a great experience that I highly recommend.
This may be a single most beautiful game I've ever seen, featuring also very good story and a bit disappointing ending. The only real issue is the mechanics/controls that resembles the Abe's Odyssee, but it's worse in every aspect - puzzles are too easy and repetitive and platforming elements are spoiled by the terrible controls.
Still - great game!
Imagine if in a point&click game you could only do every puzzle a limited amount of time, after which you had to load back your auto-save. That's Forgotton Anne.
The game looks very nice. That's pretty much all the positives I can say about it.
This is obviously a 30 fps game, the animations are terribly slow, feels like I'm watching a slow motion recording. Literally. Virtual sync doesn't make a lick of a difference.
But the mechanics, dear god!
I have three chances to figure out a puzzle, after which I had to load my auto-save. And naturally I can only do that by exiting to the main menu. To be fair, not every puzzle is like that, but one is more than enough.
Do not buy this game, just watch it on YouTube, it doesn't worth the mental suffering caused by the snail-paced animations and the clumsy mechanics!
Finally a little tip for game-developers: if you build in platformer-mechanics into your game, make sure the frame-rate and frame-pacing is fine!
Buggy piece of shit with atrocious stupid story, objects coming to life? Yeah, if you develops shove this game up your asses and pretend it is a portal to another world. Only positive is the visuals but then again a game that doesn't look good nowadays is a rarity. Isn't even worth 1 cent, nor a second of your time, avoid this game at all costs.
