Spectacular
Wish I could give five stars, but I had to take one away because you can get soft-locked on some of the puzzles and have to reload. Perfect other than that; incredible animations, good voice acting, intriguing story.

Sweet and beautiful, but hard to love
Game is visually stunning and gorgeous, hands down. I had Studio Ghibli vides all the way while playing through the game, loved the music and way story unfolded. Experience takes around 10 hours and never feels like a dull moment, so you will certainly love it also. Then whats up with the 3 stars? Controls. The. God. Awful. Controls. It feels and acts all very junky, like trying to go through some tar and mud. Game also likes its platforming sections every once in a while and darn, controls get very quickly rubbed into your face with how gummy they feel. While i am simply going forward, listening to conversations, watching visuals theatricalise in front of me.. i felt so drawn to the experience. Everytime i had to anything else that involved controls, i was so irritated. You definitely should play this through for all the beauty in it. Just remember to first take some painkillers so you can actually play it through without losing the momentum.

Stunning game and worth every penny!
I finished this game in about 11 hours, but this game will stay wth me for much longer! The aesthetic value is top notch, accompianied by a stellar sound track and an engaging story. Filled with twists and turns, you really get the feeling that your decisions will effect the outcome of the game, and when you finish the game, you are able to go back and replay any part of the storyline that you wish, a great addition! The characters are so delightful and their believable personalities certainly influenced my descisions throughout the story. With the exception of one or two tricky manouvers, the game is not overly difficult to play, allowing you to become fully immersed in the story without getting fustrated or annoyed at basic gameplay issues. I would 100% reccommend this to anyone who wants a good story-focused game. They may be forgotlings but they're certainly not forgotten by me!

Déjà vu
while playing i was constantly reminded of Studio Ghibli in a good way. story, characters, plot, animation and sound design glued me to my keyboard and mouse. ThroughLine Games set their focus on story and characters, and that shows. gameplay is pretty much non-existent, controls are clunky and puzzles (if you can call 'em that) are very very easy. conclusion: if you are looking for a challenging puzzle platformer, move along. but if you are craving for a good story, Forgotton Anne will deliver.
