Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone

If you are comfortable playing a console game with a keyboard then the game seems interesting enough. If you want to use a controller however the native controller support doesn't allow tringger buttons to be used, so I tried GoG's suggestion and used AntiMicro to manually assign keybinds to my controller. the problem is the game still tries to use its native controller configuration even when you run AntiMicro as administrator so it interferes with all your button presses. This could probably be fixed if you could edit the config file but when you open it with a text editor all you get is a bunch of squares . If GoG didn't make the return process such a pain I would return this in a heartbeat.

If Devil May Cry is sex, Demon Stone is a blowjob. It sucks, but sucks good. The story is bland, the script and voice acting is awesome, the difficulty is too easy, the animation and sequence is superb. Unlike Japanese titles, your characters don't fly across the screen to make shining exeggerating moves and weapons. The moves are not realistic but close enough to look like great Hollywood movie actions. All the moves advance with leveling and add extra flavor as they go up. You can spam a move to win the game but that is boring. In the whole game you'll find yourself keep trying to make the coolest one shot moves instead of most effective one. Btw, the mage is the character you want to avoid, it's a single button spam class.

This is a fun game, and I can't understand these people complaining that its terrible to use on keyboard and mouse....Its an action-rpg! You shouldn't be using a keyboard and mouse. Get off your cheap ass and buy a controller if you like this kind of game. But back to the review. You get to meet some key Forgotten Realms characters, fun and rewarding weapon and spell upgrades. Make sure to upgrade as much as possible. In areas where enemies keep re-spawning you can take advantage of this and rack of gold to upgrade your equipment. Worth while game for $5-10. Get a game pad and play this!
