Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
As far as i can tell, the GOG platform has been abandoned by the Dev. GOG build sits at build 4.0.3, Steam build 4.1.6. Massive changes.
I'd like to say its a fun game, but its quite repetitive. It seems like the GOG customers will get done in and lose out on their investment. It has its charmes, but those charms quickly wear off after you get tired of the same old same grind. Not gonna lie, i loved it at first. But then i started wondering why i didn't get any new updates or hear anything about the game. Anyway, if your gonna buy it, at least go through the steam platform because its quite clear the dev has abandoned us gog buyers.
This is how you support piracy, by deliberately withholding content from your paying customers, but paying attention to another platform. Looks like that kickstarter and Multiplayer update, is something we WONT be getting.
I hope im wrong and the dev comments, but as it looks, not gonna be happening.
The Dev has stopped updating this game on GOG.
There are massive content updates on steam, so I would not recommend buying the game here sadly.
Shame on the dev.
The first thing you'll notice is the quality of the game. The game performance is great. It has almost no load-time and the graphical identity is unique. It's very impressive for an indie developer of this size.
It's not perfect though. The game is not really replayable (for those that likes replayable games) and it's a little to expensive in comparison for other games like this. I would wait for at least 25% discount.
Would it be slightly cheeper, then I would give it 5/5.
Pros:
+ Loads fast
+ Unique graphical design
+ Relaxing to play
+ Relaxing music
+ Intuitive game-play
+ No DRM
+ Indie Developer
Cons:
- Not really replayable after a complete playthrough
- Do expensive for a game like this
Neither:
+ Becomes very repetitive after a while. (this can be a seen as a good thing for gamers who likes repetitive games)
It's boring, and short, game modes don't offer much replay. Trains don't make sense on such a small map. Speaking of small maps, the map is too small. For $20 skip this, if you can get it on steam for $10 then maybe. Not even sure how this game could be fun multiplayer but at least steam will get it.
Literaly theft at $20, you aren't even getting the game you paid for; DEV abandoned GOG, went 100% to steam. So, if you can get it on steam for $10 maybe try it there.
