Very decent

That's a pretty entertaining oldschool point & click adventure with lots of puzzles, most of which however of the 'give scissors to the guy who asked for scissors' sort. Not very challenging for someone familiar with the genre. You might like the nicely animated graphics and, most of all, the well-made trashy c-movie plot settled in the 1950s, with tough-talking heroes and monster creating evil geniuses on secret islands... and savable women of course. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Cult classic!

I was still desperately holding on to my Amiga when I first played this game. And even back then it made me nostalgic about the LucasArts adventure games on the Amiga. It's a very good game, despite not quite deserving a place at the top of the table. The music is great, the graphics are great, the puzzles are mostly good and the story is cheesy and wacky at the same time. Well worth a play through, or several play throughs if you enjoy playing point'n'click adventure games more than once, like I do. This is a game I revisit regularly, and will probably continue to do so until my sun sets.

Now serving cheese

Pretty much your standard point-n-click adventure, with plenty of nods to the Indiana Jones/Monkey Island style of humor and gameplay. The game tries to be silly and mostly succeeds (the hero is Joe King, get it?), plus throws in nubile Amazon women to titillate you. You'll find many other cheesy adventure tropes in game to keep you amused, and there is lots to do and lots of puzzles to solve, some pretty mind bending. The controls may be the worst thing about this game, since they are all icon based and thus require repeated clicking to get anything done. But if you want to try your hand at a LucasArts wannabe adventure, this would fit the bill.

Great Point-and-Click

The Good: - The humor. Most of this game isn't laugh out loud funny, but lots of it made me chuckle. - The system. This is essentially the same game mechanics as the LucasArts adventure games. - The puzzles. Most of the puzzles make you think, but aren't too difficult. The Bad: - Some of the puzzles are pretty confusing. Conclusion: Buy it... err get it for free.

A fun classic

I found this game due to it being free, and i love adventure games so i thought, why not give it a try. while it is in the dated graphics/sound era, the story, and game play was truly fun. As time goes on, the story and characters will grow on you, and the puzzles were a lot of fun. Outside of a few times being stuck, the game was very solvable, and in a fun way. Most puzzles are logical, and you know what you need to do, which is a nice change from some games that toss logic out the window, and you end up just trying to use any item, with any item and hope for a match. Over all, for a fun long evening, i highly recommend this game to any adventure fan. It brings ya back to the days that a couple of people could make a fun game, that was more than worth your time playing.
