For the beginning I do have the retail release of the game, and I regret buying it.
This game is an attempt to copy Quark or Unreal Tournament but fails totally.
Stick with the originals, they give more, mods, fun game play and +++
Bad look and feel while playing, not interesting Level design, monotone map texturing.
If you need a disappointment go for it, if you want a good shooter look at the Quark and UT series.
Sorry GSC Game World, you made some good games, but this is not one of them.
I havent played this long, but with what Ive seen I can this isnt very interesting.
Its an arena progression FPS. You start in an arena, monsters spawn, you kill them, rince and repeat. You can also pick a character that gains levels and pick perks, which adds some flavour, but thats all there is to it. Weapons and enemies are alright, but nothing particularly interesting. Considering this is singleplayer only, it gets old fast.
On top of that there are bugs. Falling through floors, mouse/cursor jumps, elevators letting you fall through.
Basically, there is better stuff out there and unless you are super bored or a collector, skip it.
I'm leaving a review here just to raise awareness for everyone who loves classy EDM/Breakbeat just to buy this game as a single place where you can legally listen to one of the best OST in the world.
It's been almost 20 years and it still gives me the chills.
Mooze is on the level of Jesper Kyd. I'm serious.
The game itself brings nothing that new. The levels are basically Quake III arenas with a more industrial look, with your standard pick-ups: health, armor, guns and ammo. Monsters spawn in, you kill them, you open up a new zone(levels are separated by zones) you get a bigger weapon, bigger monsters spawn in and there you go. The game has this "Artefact" mechanic, in which you have to pick this thing within a time period or else you lose the level on the spot. It kinda sucks but I can understand it was made to keep players in the high level zone(it always spawn in your higher level zone), since you can go all around them collecting stuff, and most of the time you will have enough room to pick the thing, it's not a big problem for me.
You have some variety as well since there are quite a few characters with some different stat lines, active and passive skills(you slowly get these as you pass through the levels).
The only cons I can think of are the standard mouse sensivity(which is fucking abismal, but changeable), the lack of resolution options and the weird camera stuff where the game sometimes pauses and shows your character or the new enemy or weapon spawn and then look around it, and suddenly comes back and you don't know where exactly you were. At least you can see the cyborg model, which is cool as fuck.
