Great game - Port is OK but...
Played on Ubuntu Mate 18.04. The port is OK but not great since you can not change the control layout. I will say that with all the gamepads and fight sticks the buttons line up as they should from the original NeoGeo MVS cabs. You also can not change the visual settings outside of going full screen with black boarders. Now here is why I love this and ports like this. The ROM and BIOS files are inside and you can extract them to use them with emulators like MAME and others and they work better that way since you can change your button layout and visuals. The game is still one of my favorite 1 v 1 fighting games and the most played fighting game in my home outside of Skullgirls and Tekken 5/7. You have a good array of characters so everyone should be able to find someone in the roster for their playstyle. The lane changing system is a great way to get out of corner cheese which was a big issue back in the days of early 2D fighters. The story is great also and this is one of the early games with crossover with another fighting universe confirming that Art of Fighting & Fatal Fury take place in the same space and time. With a younger Geese Howard in AoF2 and Ryo in this game if you meet the right conditions.
