Very Good, but far too short and empty.

This is a beautiful game on a lot of levels. The Music and animations, the coloring, and design, they're all great. I enjoyed every second of this game. However, the entire game feels like the intro level to a much larger game. It seems almost like the game cuts off at an arbritrary point, like development just had to end early. The puzzles are very simple and require almost no thought, but teach you the basic principles of the game. It feels like a tutorial level before the action starts, however, the first real challege is also the last moments of the game. There are game mechanics like the odometer and flammable fuel that go unused because of the sheer amount of ordinary fuel lying around. By the end of the game, I had loaded up on enough fuel to continue for hours. This tells me that there was an intention for longer stretches of gameplay that would require more rationing and eventually using the dangerous fuel. That said, what's there is amazing. While I lament the lost potential, I greatly enjoyed the game and would recommend it if you like games as art pieces.

Beautiful Game - Fun Experience!

While this game comes in at around 3 hours of gamplay, it's an enjoyable puzzle game with an adventurous feel to the story. Not replayable, really, but very good!!

Couldn't get enough of this game

I have fallen in love with this type of game. I only wish I knew exactly what type of game this is so that I may find others like it. I'm not talking about 2D games in general, I'm talking about this exact type of game. It's memorizing, relaxing, and emotional all at the same time. And above all it's simple.

Captivating

This game is basically Limbo meets Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime with a little bit of Shadow of the Colossus sprinkled on top. If you liked all of those games, you'll probably love this one. Tasked with braving the unknown with nothing but the cloak on your back, your trusty mailbox (don't forget the mailbox!), and a vehicle that seems to always be on the bring of exploding, you set off with the wind at your back and adventure at your front door. Far: Lone Sails guides you through a dead world where nothing grows and everything not nailed down will be thrown in the engine for energy. The art style is grey, dead, and beautiful with the only odd color being red, which pieces the grey to inform you on what to run your body into next. A little confusing at times, the game does its best to tell you where to go next without painting a big arrow for you. There is no HUD, no map, and no NPCs. Just be sure to keep your eyes open and don't be afraid to hop out and tow that beast of a vehicle a little to get it in the right spot. My play time was roughly two and a half hours and I would say it was definitely worth the price tag.

Great Game

If you like games that leave you wanting more, or feeling satisfied with open ended endings then I would highly recommend this game, it's 100% a visual story, there's no dialog, it's just you, your land ship, and the world. It's beautiful. I really loved the game, and I play it once in a while to remind myself how much I liked the experience.
