Description
With the Ultimate Edition, Bethesda Softworks offers you the chance to double-down and get the complete package of New Vegas fun. Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition includes the full suite of highly acclaimed add-on content: Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road. To sweeten the pot, you’ll be armed with the latest cache of unique weapons, ammo types and recipes from the most recent add-on packs: Courier’s Stash and Gun Runners Arsenal. Whether you’re a seasoned explorer of the Mojave or playing the game for the first time, you’ll find there are more friends and enemies to make, more consequences to your actions and more opportunities to live in glory or infamy throughout the Wasteland. The choices you make will be as crucial to your survival as ever.

Welcome to Vegas. New Vegas.

It’s the kind of town where you dig your own grave prior to being shot in the head and left for dead… and that’s before things really get ugly. It’s a town of dreamers and desperados being torn apart by warring factions vying for complete control of this desert oasis. It’s a place where the right kind of person with the right kind of weaponry can really make a name for themselves, and make more than an enemy or two along the way. As you battle your way across the heat-blasted Mojave Wasteland, the colossal Hoover Dam, and the neon drenched Vegas Strip, you’ll be introduced to a colorful cast of characters, power-hungry factions, special weapons, mutated creatures, and much more. Choose sides in the upcoming war or declare “winner takes all” and crown yourself the King of New Vegas in this follow-up to the 2008 videogame of the year, Fallout 3.

Enjoy your stay.
  • Feel the Heat in New Vegas!
Not even nuclear fallout could slow the hustle of Sin City. Explore the vast expanses of the desert wastelands – from the small towns dotting the Mojave Wasteland to the bright lights of the New Vegas strip. See the Great Southwest as could only be imagined in Fallout.
  • Feuding Factions, Colorful Characters and a Host of Hostiles!
A war is brewing between rival factions with consequences that will change the lives of all the inhabitants of New Vegas. The choices you make will bring you into contact with countless characters, creatures, allies, and foes, and determine the final explosive outcome of this epic power struggle.
  • New Systems!
Enjoy new additions to Fallout: New Vegas, such as a Companion Wheel that streamlines directing your companions, a Reputation System that tracks the consequences of your actions, and the aptly titled Hardcore Mode to separate the meek from the mighty. Special melee combat moves have been added to bring new meaning to the phrase “up close and personal”. Use V.A.T.S. to pause time in combat, target specific enemy body parts and queue up attacks, or get right to the action using the finely-tuned real-time combat mechanics.
  • An Arsenal of Shiny New Guns!
With double the amount of weapons found in Fallout 3, you’ll have more than enough new and exciting ways to deal with the threats of the wasteland and the locals. In addition, Vault-Tec engineers have devised a new weapons configuration system that lets you tinker with your toys and see the modifications you make in real time.
  • Let it Ride!
In a huge, open world with unlimited options you can see the sights, choose sides, or go it alone. Peacemaker or Hard Case, House Rules, or the Wild Card - it’s all in how you play the game.

If you like RPGs, play this game

This game is a broken masterpiece. It's held together with tape and spit and tape but with some mods becomes *just* a masterpiece: (see bottom for necessary mod list) It's simple. Some games try to immerse you with realistic graphics and cool looking worlds but under the surface it's just empty. Other games try to immerse you with a tightly well written drama that you're forced to play out. New Vegas immerses you by throwing you into a sea of political tension. The Mojave is yours to poke and prod at. There's tons of different factions which all play off one another. The choices you make *will* impact the game. The degree to which your actions can create or close different opportunities for you in the future, or have unforeseen effects is incredible, and it makes sense too. The writing is the best writing I've seen when you consider the scope of what Obsidian provided. The game has some modern comforts but other than a quest marker, the game does NOT hold your hand. It merely points you in a direction and suggests that it's probably a good idea to go that way. Before even hitting level 2 it's possible to butcher your relationship so bad with the two major factions that you'll be shot on sight and they'll even send high level death squads after you. Other than one specific instance, you can't revert this either. You can't just go to jail like you can in Elder Scrolls games and be released a free man. No, you are an enemy and you will be treated as one. Of course the greatest accomplishment of the game is providing the player with morally gray situations which really are not simple. This is the only game that's had me pause the game right before a huge decision and debate internally for up to half an hour because two ideologies I hold simultaneously are shown to contradict each other. That's powerful and no other game comes close to doing this to me. Not even Fallout 1 or 2, or Planescape Torment. Play this game. Necessary mods: NVSE NVAC NVTF YUP

Amazing game put poorly optimized

Beat the Steam version multiple times and it certainly lives up to the hype, whenever you're able to get it running smoothly that is. I was excited to finally try the GoG version but couldn't make it through another full playthrough because of the constant crashing. This GoG version crashed well over 40 times during 50+ hours of playtime before I had to call it quits. Most common is whenever I enter a new area or building I would get stuck in the loading screen which is extremely frustrating and killed the immersion for me. Other times the game would just shut down or freeze whenever I'm in the middle of a fire fight. I shouldn't have to install mods to fix a product I purchased, especially one that's been on the market since 2010. With that said, the story, characters, DLC & exploration is some of the best you'll find in a game bar none. The branching storyline with choices that actually matter is done beautifully. It's an amazing game but poor optimization poor hurts it.

Great Game Plagued By Bethesda's Touch

Bethesda never liked Obsidian, they hated how they made real RPGs for people to enjoy. They made the real Fallout games and the best one at that with FONV. Ever since its release this game has been a thorn in Bethesda's side. Todd Howard hates how people enjoy and prefer it to Fallout 3 and 4 which are some of the worst games of all time. If Obsidian had more time to flesh out the game and fix its issues. This would've truly been even better. But Sweet Little Lies Man doesn't like being outdone. FONV is a game well worth playing. But get the unofficial patch and some mods to fix and enchance the game further. We will NEVER get a game like this one ever again. Truly a one of a kind type of game.
