We are very grateful for the amazing attention Fallout London is receiving and want to thank you all for the great feedback! We're working hard to fix the reported technical issues and expect to release an update soon. Thank you for your patience and support!
Many of the reported issues appear to stem from missing one of the installation steps outlined below. While we work on improving the installation experience, please ensure you follow all the steps carefully.
- Team FOLON®
Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
How to install and play Fallout London:
If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on Steam, please click here to access the installation's instructions provided by Team FOLON®. You will have to downgrade your version, then install the Fallout: London via our dedicated launcher.
Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.
Follow the launcher’s instructions, and enjoy!
A Polite Disclaimer
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Summary
Fallout: London lets you explore a dishevelled London set in the Fallout universe. It overhauls Fallout 4 with a new story, new weapons, London-centric items and a vast recreation of the ruined city to explore.
Fallout: London is a free total conversion mod for Fallout 4, available to anyone who owns the base game and all of its DLCs. It is developed non-commercially by Team FOLON, many of whom are proud London residents or expats.

I'm not puting 5 stars since i didnt' played much, but considering the bad notes due to the game crashes and loading time, I will give you a few advise in order to get a playbale game. As a non-user of mods usually it took me a lot of time yesterday, but I managed to get a good version and i would like to share the method with you.
DISCLAIMER : This post does concern you if you bought the game on GOG and use a Window device, i'm not sure if it's similar if you bought it on STEAM and use any other devices.
Firs of all, follow STEP BY STEP the advices given on this topic : https://www.gog.com/forum/fallout_london/fallout_london_quick_start_guide_common_bug_fixes
Pay attention to not forgetting any step of the installation, and add Buffout 4 and it's preloader plugin as recommended. Run the game one time to check if it semms OK.
Now you have the full game ready to play, I will highly reccomend you tu add another Mod, beaucse loading times makes the game really like a pain in the a**. Go to : https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/73469?tab=files and manually download the second file (For the game version 1.10.163.0 and lower (London) ). DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE REQUIREMENTS ; THE GOG VERSION ALREADY INCLUDE THE REQUIRED FILES Then go to to your donloads, and copy or drag and drop the content of the zip file to the next folder : C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Fallout 4 GOTY.
It should have fixed the loading issues ; i played a little hour after doing all this and didn't met any problem.
Lets's enjoy guys ;)
While it does have a few technical issues, it is extremely well done. An unbelievable amount of work went into this game, and you can tell. All new assets for almost everything, a rich and engaging storyline with a myriad of dialogue choices, and a very keen attention to detail. Once you can get it running smoothly, a most worthwhile experience. If you are having trouble, take a look at the FOLON solutions megathread on Reddit, and make sure to install the recommended stability mods alongside it. Thank you to all the devs who made this possible, you did an amazing job.
First of all thanks to the people who created and gave us this fantastic game. I haven't received a better gift in a very long time, if ever. I say game on purpose, because this is as much a mod as Fallout: New Vegas is a mod. So it's a brand new game, which if it had the budget and resources of Fallout 4, would no doubt be in the running for game of the year. Actually, as far as I'm concerned this is my game of the year. Well done people and thanks again. GOG also deserves a lot of praise because it is very friendly towards modders and players.
Regarding the stability of the game, a few quick tips from personal experience with the game, although you could have read most of this elsewhere:
Very useful for preventing game crashes is the mod Buffout 4 version 1.28.6 together with the mods required for that mod which are xSE PluginPreloader version 0.2.5.1 and Address Library version 1.10.163.0 (I read somewhere that Address Library is already included in Fallout London, but it's not a big mistake if you install it, I did and had no problems). I also tested the Long Loading Times Fix mod for several hours (version 1.1.1 but for game version 1.10.163.0) it works like a charm.
I use and recommend Vortex mod manager. Be sure to check if the plugins for Fallout: London are enabled and enjoy.
This mod is the most fun I had in Fallout 4 since it came out in 2015, and I spent A LOT of time in that game. The British setting does add a lot of novelty by itself, sure, but much more importantly, the game actually feels and plays better.
I particularly love the atmosphere created by the ambient sounds and music, but other aspects are great as well: voice acting, storytelling, gameplay tweaks (although Survival is tough as heck), tons of new stuff, simply put.
To address the situation with technical issues many (but certainly not most) people have: this game is known to have them even when playing vanilla, solutions are simple if you don’t complicate things for yourself in the first place (like trying to juggle mod profiles in MO2/Vortex without fully understanding what you’re doing instead of following the official installation instructions to the t). Don’t let the negative comments prevent you from trying out this mod.
- Ran the downgrader
- Disabled all my mod organizer 2 mods, vortex is terrible and I refuse to use it
- Disabled the high-res texture pack DLC, didn't know it was unoptimized to shit 'til now but in this case it also overrides the custom textures the mod uses
- Installed Buffout4 in mo2
- Launched the game from f4se instead of GOG or Steam
- Still crashes every 3-4 hours but that's more stable than vanilla in my experience, my rig's not great
I'm about 25 hours in as of this writing, and I'd say the mod's pretty good so far! The new weapons are satisfying (revolver shotgun my beloved), the story's loaded with intrigue, plus the world is massive and riddled with worthwhile secrets. The locations feel less kitbashed than vanilla Fallout 4's, and this region actually acts like humans have had 200 years to rebuild their towns and try to re-establish order. Unlike FO3+4 the game world doesn't revolve around you. Weapon customization got an overhaul, too - the vanilla pipe weapons sorely underdelivered on how modular they are. This mod introduced the "crude" weapon family as a replacement and triples down on the modularity, and a laser equivalent with just as many options. Traits got reintroduced (I HIGHLY recommend taking the one that adds a chance of sending you to random locations whenever you sleep, it's coded to always take you somewhere interesting), dialogue skill checks are back and not based on chance, there's actually-unique weapons again and I've yet to have someone breathing down my neck about settlements. I wouldn't say it's as good as Skyrim's Enderal, but it's pretty damn close.
My two complaints are that most merchants have "stock" dialogue, and so far none of them have carried unique items.
