We are very grateful for the amazing attention Fallout London is receiving and want to thank you all for the great feedback! We're working hard to fix the reported technical issues and expect to release an update soon. Thank you for your patience and support!
Many of the reported issues appear to stem from missing one of the installation steps outlined below. While we work on improving the installation experience, please ensure you follow all the steps carefully.
- Team FOLON®
Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
How to install and play Fallout London:
If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on Steam, please click here to access the installation's instructions provided by Team FOLON®. You will have to downgrade your version, then install the Fallout: London via our dedicated launcher.
Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.
Follow the launcher’s instructions, and enjoy!
A Polite Disclaimer
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Summary
Fallout: London lets you explore a dishevelled London set in the Fallout universe. It overhauls Fallout 4 with a new story, new weapons, London-centric items and a vast recreation of the ruined city to explore.
Fallout: London is a free total conversion mod for Fallout 4, available to anyone who owns the base game and all of its DLCs. It is developed non-commercially by Team FOLON, many of whom are proud London residents or expats.

I'm playing for quite some time, 36hours ongoing. It has become much stabler. There are bugs, and there will be some crashes (It's still a Bethesda Game). So save your game often.
It is a great experience.
For some more information: Bethesda released just about at the time Team Folon released their Full conversion MOD Fallout London, the updated Fallout 4 next gen. Those changes break the Full Conversion. It's neither Bethesda's nor Team Folon's fault the new version simply isn't compatible with the full conversion.
Jumping in for the first 5 minutes, missing wall which is not a great sight for someone wanting to actually play this. But at least I was able to play with the update. I couldn't even get it started when it first launched and wasted my time. But now I'm able to do something... It just lacks a lot of elements that makes it fun.
And I would say if this was paid, I would've refunded it real quick and abandoned the time it takes to install 30GB of extra half baked content with what feels like a long time between updates with a lack of being able to give feedback unless you join a Discord server which I hate so much.
Another thing, if you expect people to donate to you, get your project actually functional before plastering it on your site... sorry, Wordpress, same for that Discord link.
And this point "We want to emphasize this: The funds raised here are not intended for supporting modding, or for Fallout: London." so it's not intended to fix a project that is still buggy nor a project that YOU NAMED THE WEBSITE AFTER. Good job, [10 Charisma] Master of logic.
I want to love this game. A group of volunteers made a giant Fallout game and released it for free. But the quest design is frustrating, the story did not capture me at all (I don't even know or care which of the 20 pending quests is part of the main quest), and none of the music grabs you. It pains me to say this, but don't waste your time or download.
To start with, it is absolutely amazing that this exists, and is as complete and playable as it is for free. For that reason alone, I hesitate to criticize it too harshly. Unfortunately, there are enough issues that prevent it from fully living up to the hype.
I started with a clean install. In 40 hours. I completed the main quest, and some sidequests I only experienced a few crashes. I did experience many game-breaking bugs that required console commands to progress. The default lighting settings are excessively dark. Several locations were unplayable even with the torch, unless I tweaked the settings.
Lots of amazing locations, highly detailed (and I assume accurate to real life), but navigating to and within them is a pain, Entrances can be a dozen steps away, but require significant detours.
Storyline and quests are generally good, but many quests could be streamlined to minimize loading and backtracking. Gameplay is difficult, with overly large mobs of enemies. Almost too many characters and factions, delving into the unique aspects of each group was obstuse. The settlements, while located in great locations, are all broken.
Most disappointingly, despite Team FOLON's claims of inclusiveness, it feels as though the female PC was not thoroughly tested. There are numerous instances where the PC (and another significant character) is referred to using male pronouns.
I believe these flaws stem from a "quantity over quality" problem. The unifying elements of the mod needed more love. It is evident that everyone worked hard on their contributions, but some content could have been set aside to better focus on a more coherent final product.
Ultimately, I had an entertaining experience with this mod, even if it didn't live up to my expectations set by the initial tease in 2022. It is certainly worth playing for any Fallout fan, and I could see myself revisiting it in the future. I hope that with a little more time and care, it will shine the way it deserves.
