As the newly appointed chieftain of a modest Viking clan, you’ll have a village of your very own. But to carve your name into the runestones of history you’ll need great strength, and great wealth to grow your village’s prosperity and renown. A decent game, good balance of elements
A decent game, good balance of elements: story, campaing, tactical battles, RPG, turn-base. Wouldn't say they exceled at any of them, but wove them all togther nicely. I recommend

Waste of money
I really did try to give this game a chance but after more than 35 hours of play I am going to uninstal. Soooo boring and frustrating...hours spent running around towns looting barrels for junk...hours spent in campsites trying to heal your men after spending all your cash on medicines just to have them all badly injured, in the first turn, by 10 wolves in a "surprise" combat before you get a chance to get back to your quest. Passive skills that do not work properly, clumsy combat, exploration maps that are dull and lifeless and no decent rewards...I play games to relax and enjoy myself...this game is about as fun as a headache.

Classic RPG
So far this has an engaging story and fun battles. I'm a fan of all things Viking so I'm really enjoying the setting. Nice that it's more historical than fantastical too. That's a nice change of pace.

Clunky Turn based combat
I'm kind of over turn based combat - esp against an AI. You spend half the time watch the enemy run around and the adrenaline and excitement reachings a scorching zero. The story seemed ok. The ambience was alright - albeit a little soft and PC - ish. I enjoy a gritter game with real characters that have rough edges to them. Not soppy uni students larping as viking warriors. Hard to find a good Viking game out there, I guess. That said I only played an hour then ditched it, came back played for 10min and ditched it again, this time probably for good.
