Evoland is a game and a story. The story of action adventure gaming as seen in many popular JRPGs and action RPGs, starting from the very beginning, when a few pixels were enough to make us dream for hours. Too simple and too short.

The game is too short. Right about the time I thought the game was picking up speed, I was fighting the final boss. Also: the bosses are ridiculously hard to beat. You will consider doing household chores rather than trying to beat the bosses in this game for the 15th time. The game progresses you through the history of RPGs, but at no point do they stick to an RPG format so that you can have that feeling of an overpowered character. There's elements of Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Diablo here and none of them are done particularly well. Save your money on this one.

Great at Beginning, Sucks at Final

This game is awesome in the beginning, but the final is just disappointing. The story is short, you can only use sword when fighting final boss, and there's nothing rewarding after that.

Decent & nostalgia

This is a decent game for nostalgia. I don't see how new gamers would enjoy this game, but clearly retro gamers would find this game interesting just for the nostalgia aspect. Bad: Too limited, and way too easy.
