For all its superficial swagger, it'd be remiss to call Evil West a case of style over substance, because there's a deceptive amount of substance to its combat system and the vibrant world its set in–just the amount you'd want in such a game. It's a good game for a good while, before its relentless pace runs of steam in the final third when repetitive, tiresome battles highlight the limitations of a mostly solid combat system. With the ability to play the entirety of the campaign in co-op however (with appropriately scaled enemies), I wonder whether spreading the relentless heat between two players could actually be the best way to play Evil West, and I plan on finding out soon.

Great game

Fun story, not taking itself too seriously. Very good mechanics. Challenging, with a very good atmosphere, and if you like beating up and killing vampires, its a no brainer. Get it!

Annoying Mechanics and Mid Writing

A mediocre and predictable storyline that never manages to transcend a series of bland western, horror tropes punctuated by annoying game mechanics that prioritize using predetermined/limited strategies over flexible/fun gameplay. If you find Dark Souls genre games, which amount to memorizing an arbitrary series of animation patterns, annoying and reductive then give this one a hard pass. Game shows its true colors with the first boss, the Parisiter, which even on normal is ridiculous. There are points in this fight where the entire scren is so full of enemies and projectile splash zones that there is literally no where to stand without taking damage. I'm sure there are specific strategies intended to succeed which I could find by reloading over and over or googling but the things is that I personally do not find constant reloading or googling to provide very rivetting gameplay. Also the graphics are extremely poor for a 2020 game with gore amounting to indistinct masses of red during kill animations.

Very cool mindless 3rd person shooter

Very cool game, mindless shooter that is just perfect to blow off some steam. I normally do not buy games set in wild west (my other game is RDR2) but the game have intrigued since it was announced. I just find the mix of wild west and vampires interesting and the game does not disappoint. This is not a ground breaking game, I will probably forget it six months from now but it is definitely a lot of fun playing it. I have Samsung Neo G9 49” super ultrawide monitor and the game looks great on it with its vibrant pallet of colours. Overall nice purchase. No regrets. I can definitely recommend it
