Great Game... REALLY needs fixing though

This game had SO MUCH potential. If only the traps worked better than they did. If only there was a fast forward time button. This could have been the best game ever. As it is, it still very very very much should get an updated version. Fix those couple of things and to a graphics overhaul, and sell it as a new game and I'll buy it.

Cool game, if ...

If you think about to buy this game, be warned. You will have no control over your save game stages. You get an autosave feature and whenever you start a new game, your old savegames will be overwritten.... If this doesn't bother you, you get a funny game, but again with a couple of unnecessary funstopper. Not being able to have control over your savegames are making the bugs very annoying, so sometimes when you capture some people your minion will stop in the cell with his victim and just stand there... from that moment you have to live with that guy standing there or to get back to one of the older autosaves... if not all of them are overwritten already. If not, you can start the whole game again, because whenever you change anything in this room he is standing the game will abort. As all GoG Games the game installs itself with the need of admin rights... they don't do any difference in the bug section. The game bugs either with or without admin rights (Win7 Pro 64).

IMHO Better than dungeon keeper

As teenager this game was mind-blowing for me. It's very polished, has a unique style and the gameplay is pure awesomeness. The layouting of a base, the trap building, the slow but steady advancements of your troops, the science - it's all so much fun! Don't know about this build, but on my old XP computer the game ran rock-solid without hanging or crashing even once. Can't say the same about DK... Only thing missing in this game is replayability value. Once you played it to the end, there's probably nothing you haven't seen.

It's fun to be the Villain

With it's Bond-esque big band music, evil henchmen and jumpsuited minions, this is the dream game for anyone who ever felt that special need for a secret base hidden in a volcano. I just keep coming back to this game over and over again, a timeless classic of diabolical evil.

I loved the Game

I got this game on a whim because I like RTS games, as soon as I opened the game I was transported to the 60s in to a James bond/ Austin Powers cartoon. You play one of three evil geniuses, every different evil genius has different skills so choose your evil genius wisely. You may have noticed you have three basic minions and one henchman, like your evil genius your Henchman has his own specific skills too. Your goal is to take over the world. How I hear you ask? Build an underground lair of course. Be careful with the design of your rooms once its build you cant go back. You cant run the world with that number of staff, so you will need to build a barracks straight away to get more minions in your staff roster. At the start of the game. It will look like your building a hotel for your minions but once you have build the basic rooms (more importantly your control room.) You will have the ability to send your minions world wide to Plot, Steal and complete jobs. This is where your multitask skills would come in handy. You will find your self cycling back and forward to your lair to map view trying to juggle killing spies or capturing them and sending your guys to steal, plot or do jobs. Worth mentioning also is you will have to micromanage mostly everything especially your avatar evil genius you do not want him in any room with spies. Don't worry though you can build traps, Armoury and freezer rooms to help you out. Oh No the electric cut off just remember to save a big room for your power plant this will get annoying once you build many rooms but I am afraid it as to be done. In the later game you will have enough minions to upgrade to scientist minions and enough money to build better new exciting rooms for all your staff. You will see a lot of the objects have upgraded like doors and traps. You will also be building a hotel to keep the spies occupied and off your tail. So there is a lot to do in this Fun packed 60s James Bond cliche game. I loved it 5 Stars
