Double Dragon Trilogy

"Back then" I played the game on Timex 2048 and not at the arcade, so the quality of the port is not an issue for me, actually it is a huge improvement (do compare the Sinclair version on YT) so the stars are for my personal nostalgia factor. Also I'd like to emphasize that game runs fine without the Galaxy client, "multiplayer" option is just grayed out on the menu.

The experience reads like a manual on how NOT to port your old game into the modern era. Just about everything that could have been done wrong, was. Skip this and go play the NES versions, you'll have more fun. ...AND you won't be forced to login for multiplayer (plenty of emulators can do multiplayer, even reliably over the internet).

This game is mostly about fighting, has a good plot and the buttons are easily changeable so that we know what buttons are to punch/kick.

Have always enjoyed these first two games, never played the third so it is just a filthy little bonus, pretty cool so far, not like the first two at all. Price is insanely cheap, I cannot understand the 1 star reviews.

This was one of the games I dumped thousands of quarters into! Back in the 80s I worked at a pizza joint that had this in there - and every break, lunch and after work - you could find me making my way across this vast metropolis - fighting and kicking my way dealing out my street justice! The game is extremely fun - even as the GOG port - I do, admittedly only do single player with GoG so I can't attest to the reviews that mentions multiplayer.
