Description

Reprise your role as a supernatural assassin in Dishonored 2.

Praised by PC Gamer as “brilliant”, IGN as “amazing” and “a super sequel, declared a “masterpiece” by Eurogamer, and hailed “a must-play revenge tale among the best in its class” by Game Informer, Dishonored 2 is the follow up to Arkane Studio's first-person action blockbuster and winner of more than 100 'Game of the Year' awards, Dishonored.

Play your way in a world where mysticism and industry collide. Will you choose to play as Empress Emily Kaldwin or the royal protector, Corvo Attano? Will you make your way through the game unseen, make full use of its brutal combat system, or use a blend of both? How will you combine your character's unique set of powers, weapons and gadgets to eliminate your enemies? The story responds to your choices, leading to intriguing outcomes, as you play through each of the game's hand-crafted missions.

Story:

Dishonored 2 is set 15 years after the Lord Regent has been vanquished and the dreaded Rat Plague has passed into history. An otherworldly usurper has seized Empress Emily Kaldwin’s throne, leaving the fate of the Isles hanging in the balance. As Emily or Corvo, travel beyond the legendary streets of Dunwall to Karnaca, the once-dazzling coastal city that holds the keys to restoring Emily to power. Armed with the Mark of the Outsider and powerful new abilities, track down your enemies and take back what’s rightfully yours.

Key Features:

  • The Assassins
As fully voiced characters, Emily Kaldwin and Corvo Attano now bring their own perspectives and emotional responses to the world and story. Use each character’s set of powers, gadgets and uniquely-tuned weapons in creative ways as you explore the world – whether you fight your way through the city streets or sneak across the rooftops - and which enemies you decide to eliminate or spare.
  • Supernatural Powers
Advanced bonecharm crafting and all-new upgrade trees allow you to customize your powers in vastly different ways. Become a living shadow to silently stalk your targets, link enemies so they share a common fate, or mesmerize your foes and dominate their minds. Choose from nearly infinite combinations of violence, nonlethal combat, powers and weapons to accomplish your objectives.
  • Imaginative World
From the grimy, rat-infested streets of Dunwall to the lush, exotic coasts of a decaying Karnaca, immerse yourself in stylized locales created by Arkane’s premiere art and narrative teams. The world is a character in its own right, rich with story, architecture and eclectic characters. It is also punctuated by signature mission locations, such as the Dust District, ravaged by dust storms and warring factions, and a madman’s mansion made of shifting walls, deadly traps and clockwork soldiers.
  • The Void Engine
Dishonored 2 is beautifully brought to life with the new Void Engine, a leap forward in rendering technology, built from id Tech and highly-customized by Arkane Studios. Designed to support world-class art direction and take full advantage of the powerful hardware this generation has to offer, the Void Engine allows for significant advances to all game systems, including responsive stealth and combat Artificial Intelligence, lighting and graphical rendering, impressively dense urban environments, and story presentation.

As good as the first game

Compared to the first game, Dishonored 2 has a little bit worse story but better level design and gameplay mechanics, so on balance it's just as good as the first game. Clockwork Mansion and Stilton Manor are some of the best levels I've experienced in any video game. If stealth-action is something you like, don't hesitate to get this game.

Immersive and DRM-free

If you've played the first Dishonored you should already know what to expect. A highly replayable campaign, choosing between the stealthy, no kill-code approach or the Slitpipes McGee approach to tackling your problems, and constantly mashing quick save / quick load. It's all here but with 2 playable characters now. Performance has always been a hot topic when it comes to this game but I have had effectively 0 issues running this on my GTX 1060 3GB card. Plus it's now DRM free so there's less overhead there too (they did finally remove Denuvo from the Steam version too). Giving 4 stars because no overlay support. I appreciate that Bethesda actually went to the took the time to give the games proper platform-specific polish (achievements, cloud saves, etc.) but to not include the Galaxy overlay seems like an extremely odd omission. Not the end of the world but you don't know if you unlock an achievement unless you Alt+Tab out to Galaxy. I hope they patch it in a t some point.

Bigger than the first one

I would agree with some that maybe the story is not as good as the first one, however the story is still great. Everything in this game feels a lot much more polished, bigger, there are a lot of things improved and more tools for greatest replayability. The game also gives you 2 characters to control with different abilities. While I am not very fan of Emily's skills and making Corvo's character talk (still voice actor by the way is a great surprise), I still appreciate the efforts the developers poured into this game. You also have New Game + which gives you the possibility of having both Corvo's and Emily's skills together and becoming overpowered. I heard that the game had some performance issues, which of course I crossed with some, at least I had it because my computer sucks, but the game isn't by any means unplayable. I would say this game is a must play if you enjoyed the first one even if you played it on Steam or any other platforms I would recommend to buy it here and give it a try. I would still choose the first one because I enjoyed the story slightly more and because I prefer the simpler and cleaner mechanics of the first game, also because in this game you can't play as Daud :(

Amazing Sequel, Amazing Stealth Game

Dishonored 2 picks up when Emily is an adult and ruling as Empress. Bad things happen during a social event and Emily (Or Corvo, your choice!) needs to regain her title. I thought the story and in particular, the villain, wasn't too interesting and lacks innovation compared to Dishonored 1's story. I won't spoil anything and leave it at that. However, that's literally my only complaint because I think Dishonored 2 improves in every other regard over its prequel. Here's just some important points why it's loads of fun. - Stealth system is better. You aren't invisible when leaning and only "almost" invisible on higher ground. When you get detected, you aren't forced to load an earlier save because you can take out guards during combat WITHOUT killing them. - You can track player kills and times detected in the middle of a mission. It was very annoying in the first game when rats ate an unconscious guy you knocked out. You needed to wait until the end of the level to learn that you're now a murderer. There's now a very handy "stats" menu you can access at any time to view how many you've killed, how many have detected you, among many more cool stats. This makes non-lethal, non-detection playthroughs much less frustrating to accomplish. - Levels are even bigger? Maybe it's my imagination, but the missions appeared to me to be even bigger and more open ended than in the first game. What's most shocking is that these new levels never overstayed their welcome. I never got bored and hoped a mission would just end already. - Dishonored 2 is finally stable and runs well. This game had a horrible release and performed like crap. But with newer hardware and multiple patches, the game never crashed and ran super well. - New game plus! You can replay the entire game again with powers, bonecharm traits (really cool feature btw) and upgrade schematics obtained in previous playthroughs! Dishonored 2 is a really long and fantastic stealth game! Buy it!

The modern Rogue Warlock

Really feels like you are playing a assasin with multiclass of warlock great improvment from the first game, little bit grindy for the runes and bonus but overall a great game
