What about Vertigo?
I loved this game! Shame this download doesn't come with the Vertigo mission pack. Another +20 levels of fun made it better.

The 1st REAL 3D Free Movement.
And movement control implemented very well. Just demanding a little training at first. But then... the discovery of so many things, secrets, tactics... until the end of the level. It was a a completely new kind of shooter like Wolfenstein was a first 3D. But you needed a good 486. It worked fairly with a 486sx/25MHz (if you had 8M)... but it would fly with a 486/50MHz. Version One is better to get the grip on the theme. You go until the end, again and again until there are no more levels. Version 2 is nicer and more realistic, but also a bit too difficult (wich is not well scaled in some levels). Never tried version3 because of that. Maybe now!

Greatest FPS of its Time!
The best DOS game series of all time in my opinion! The only three dimensional first person shooter I know of. Whoever has the rights to the Descent title, needs to make an Xbox Live Arcade version if not a full fledged game for Xbox 360! I will buy it!

It's baaaaaaaaaaaack!
Arguably one of the greatest cult games of the early 90's, this game is the game that got me into gaming. There's little I can say about this game that hasn't already been said, great gameplay, great level design, great music, varied weapons. This game is amazing.

Entertaining tunnels of frustration
I'm going to be brief about it. The controls require some getting used to. 2 enemies I can live without is one hit-can jerk that shaves 1/3rd of your health in 1,5 second and the other one with insanely precise homing missiles. In tight spaces it's just plain cheap. The game is a total jerk to you: cheap, unfair, confusing, frustrating but it's fun. It's fun goddamn it. I recommend using source ports for those without a 4:3 or 5:4 monitors. They make the game look a lot more modern and improve on in-game options but keep the gameplay the same. DX1 Rebirth is recommended.
