The writing is incredible. The main cast are colorful and very likable, especially Deathpolca herself whose backstory slowly reveal throughout the game and it's full of surprise. Even Diana, who at first make me mildly upseted since her introduction and subplot seems shoehorned and interrupt the ongoing event, end up being crucial to the plot. Even side character like the Remnants are very memorable. In fact, this is one of very few H games that make me feel anxious about the girls being in bad position. The plot is about demonkind struggle to survive by take over the world. While there is an angle of "not evil, just misunderstoof" trope, it's also clear that the demonkind are truly dangerous and nonetheless doing bad things, which the narration isn't afraid to point out that just because it's neccessary doesn't mean there won't be consequence or it's right thing. However, with the brutality of the Empire's slave system, which is more gruesome as the story advanced, the demonkind are nonetheless the one to root for. Thoroughout the story, the plot can trigger contrasting emotions at fast pace. Prepare to see the likable characters suffer or even dying just minutes after the moment of triump. In fact, most of the erotic scenes that occurred as the main story progress are of nonconsensual nature, with few exceptions still has a character being underinfluence of drug. And the use of porn is remind me more of a horror movie, often it's used to show characters at their most vulnerable state and can be more sad than arousing. Finally, if you don't like grinding, the game has option for Cinematic mode so you can blaze through the plot with relatively ease.

As the title goes, Characters and Story are great!

Like others have mentioned, do not get tricked by thinking this as your typical Kagura game. While first 2 chapters give you good and quite good layer for story and goals, it only gets better after that. Game is full of twists and turns, characters are likeable and soundtrack very fitting to keep leveled feeling. This game has one of the greatest and most enjoyable stories i have experienced in a long time. Definitely recommended! It is worth noting game has 2 different endings, but only one of them is true ending for this game and unlocks New Game+. Keep that in mind in case you end up thinking earlier "bad" ending being the real one. P.S. Here wishing to see "King Exit" at some year to be available once again..

It's really good, but you are not evil. You are just not human. Most places consists of 40% slaves and some plases are 90%. Slaves do not count as human, they can never work their way out of slavery and their children also count as slaves. You can write the word evil as many times as you want, but the demons are a benevolent force. The human rule is so abhorent that siding with literal demons is better, and the only reason they don't get wiped off the face of the earth. That's the 0.5 flaw. the 1 flaw is the Isekai plot. For some reason they thought an Isekai plot would fit in a story about demons fighting for survival and world domination while freeing slaves. It really doesn't help that it comes HALF way trhough the story and destroys some of the internal logic either and of course she is a mary sue. Our characters should not physically be able to be where they are at that point in time. It's like the laws of the universe are bending because of this 1 character. It left such a bad taste in my mouth that I stopped playing after it. The only reason I enjoyed the sequense was because it was 90% removed from the main story( should have been 100%) and the 2 music track were bangers. If you played "magical girl celephonia"( way better than it sounds), then you know. If you can stomach or even enjoy the Isekai plot, then it's really good. If not, then stay away.
