Description
DAYMARE: 1998 is a third-person survival horror with hardcore survival mechanics and hard to kill enemies. It requires a strategical approach to combat and puzzles and offers a multi-character point of view on the story, revealing a deep and obscure lore.
The scene is set with a secret research facility, a deadly chemical weapon and a special security team to investigate this incident with the potential to become much more than just a security breach. Good ideas poorly executed
If you look past the generic storyline, one dimensional characters, poorly implemented puzzles, janky (and sometimes unresponsive) controls, you'll see a passion project full of ideas inspired by hallmarks of the genre, like Dead Space OG, RE 4 (of course), Evil Within etc.

An okay premise with some jank
I think that this game is actually closer to a 3.5, the game starts off fun and has some ionteresting things ong on but the animations have a little jank. and some of the controls feel a bit off

Old-school horror with a fresh Narrative
An interesting title that brought me back to the days of playing the old Resident Evil games. When it comes to the narrative, the developers managed to keep things engaging, with some surprisingly thoughtful choices along the way. Unfortunately, the boss fights feel a bit cluncky and can get frustrating at times, but overall the game succeeds in keeping you entertained and offers a decent level of replayability.
