Darksiders Genesis

Darksider Genesis was the first game I completed in the hack'n'slash RPG genre and it is a great game. The game pretty much carries you through the story without to much back tracking, platforming that gives you a challenge and perfectly balanced enemies. Can recommend.

Change of perspective doesn't make it any less 'Darksiders'. Action, story and music are all the same top quality as previous entries. Truly a great addition to the series!

Other games in this frachines were deeper and contained more content. For the cost this needed to be substantially more robust in content, have a longer time to completion and have less issues where the fixed POV changes midway through an action requiring you to guess at the direction you're supposed to go after the POV shift. Which brings me to, finally, this game is not intended to be played with keyboard, and it should advertise that up front. If you do not already have a controller, you should not purchase the game as you will (with the aforementioned fixed POV and changes to POV mid fight or platforming) suffer greatly. While this happened periodically in previous entries to this classic console series, when I thought about this problem being more prevelent here than before and the significantly reduced amount of content... the fact that this really wasn't an RPG or even ARPG... I realized it's just not competing in the same space as the previous games.
