Dagon was da-gon great!
I thoroughly enjoyed this telling of the Dagon tale! For Lovecraft lovers and those that enjoy Eldritch horrors of all flavors!

A visual and emotional experience
I reread Dagon a few weaks before playing bthe game and beforhand I had my doubts that it would make a good game. I am not sure I would call it a game, the focus is so much on the story that the gamification comes in second place and its nore of an slightly interactive visual and emotional experience. I recomend this if you like Lovecrafts works and if you want a sadly unice experience . Sadly because I I want more games to focus and respect the story this nmuch. I hope that other games will take inspiration from this.

Impressive Powerpoint Presentation
Dagon is less a game and more a very fancy looking slideshow and is really not worth the time and effort even though it is only about 30 minutes long and free. Although it is a faithful adaption of Dagon, it doesn't fully capture the atmosphere of Lovecraft's work. The main reason for this is the lack of any meaningful interaction, you are essentially just listening to a bored sounding narrator quoting lines directly from the short story and left clicking to listen to the next line. Oh and you get to look around a minimally animated area, which outside of the first few screens consists of looking at a table, a clock on a wall, a window and a door! If you want to truely experience Dagon, just read the short story, it isn't Lovecrafts best story but it is better than this slideshow.

I'm not too familiar with the Cthulhu mythos,but I do think it's pretty interesting and this game piqued my interest as well. I wasn't disappointed! It's short but sweet.

A fun little visit
A fun little visit through a short story. The limitations of the format, and not being able to move your head around made me feel straitjacketed. Doesn't waste your time, though. I recommend reading the story on your own first: https://hplovecraft.com/writings/texts/fiction/d.aspx
