I have not like the game so far but I will continue playing it to give it more chance. The game is rich but it is messy and confusing and not organized (and of course must be mentioned with a lot of bugs).
I think CD Project Red should not go with First persion shooter concept. The reason I am saying it is that the first two Witcher game were not very good too (apart from the story) but Wither 3 was very good game both gameplay and story
Very buggy but im having alot of fun. Things that are missing that should have been a no brainer though.
-Purchasable properties. making a hundred thousand eddies and still stuck in a slum appartment.
-apparentment has a killer weapons room but you cant interact or place iconic guns into any of the slots ( it was clearly intended but not finished).
-No garage or vehicle customization
-Once past the character creator theres no way to change hair style facial features ext. games all about cyber customization and i cant swap my whole jaw out.. cmon
-Place like night city and theres no grity rail system?
-Just did a mission where guy supposedly killed a kid in game.. why cant I. Immersion broken :P
-Futuristic and everythings still gas powered? you'd think cheaper cars would be gas, super cars electric would be tron style.. but ok.
-crafting is in the game, but nothing to really give you pointers along the way.. my friend dissasembled the iconic sniper rifle and pistol now he cant make the legendary version of them. RIP
Buggy
+deeper you progress into the games storyline the buggier it gets. Ive run into two missions where the enemies became untargetable, as in you'd lower your gun if you tried to shoot them, and they could hear you and look for you but you can litrally walk right infront of them and they would do nothing and not see you.
+Not very optimized for higher end hardware. Getting smooth gameplay over 60-70 fps is a struggle even at 1080p no matter what gpu you seem to have.
+Alot of items such as weapons and consumables you cannot pickup because the promt wont appear.
The story and side missions might be complete and playable, but this clearly wasnt the finished game they wanted. Im hoping they finish it!
I expected better - given the hype, the rep, the time in development - but I'm not disappointed either.
The Best is the world of Night City: The architecture, the art and the attention to detail, the in-game news and commercial billboards, some good side-jobs. They all contribute to create a vibrant, dystopian, violent, sexually deviant, hyper-technologized world, hopelessly caught between anarchy and ruthless corpo-capitalism, where literally everything is for sale.
The Good:
- The main story: quite interesting, from premise to development and ending(s).
- The music and the voice-acting;
- Most side jobs;
- Panam Palmers;
- Keanu Reeves.
Satisfactory:
- The gunplay;
- The stealth mechanics;
- The RPG skill system.
Bad:
- Too much in-game cinematics;
- The user interface: complicated, messy, unclear;
- The crafting and the shops: useless, can get better items from loot;
- Dumb item scaling system: a bloody tank-top can have more armor than a bullet-prof vest, and a low-level "tech-rifle" can have less damage than a knife;
- The driving: horrifically in-controllable, useless inside view, plus no point in buying vehicles;
- Overpowered enemies in some areas - local gangsters in T-shirts needing 3 clips in the head to fall;
- THE TREES GLITCH !!!
Been looking forward to this game since 2016, met most my expectations.
But it CRASHES way too much, put about 70 hours into the game with the occasional performance or stability hiccup, but it's been crashing HARD for the past week. Hard enough to get me to do a hard reset on my PC. Did everything, verified game cache, checked GPU drivers, and my specs are well above minimum specs.
These stability issues right here are currently hindering and handicapping what I would consider a very enjoyable game when it's not crashing.
