Deserves a second chance

I got this game at launch and was disappointed along with everyone else. Countless reviewers said this game was trying to do too much and didn't have a chance to compete with GTA V. Bugs were everywhere and worst of all the performance sucked which was why I put it down. After path 1.6 I picked it back up and I had the complete opposite experience. The gameplay is smooth and plays like the best of shooters while also having really good customization and progression. The world is immersive, the characters are well written, animations are top of class and the plot is pretty good. The best part of it in my opinion is the world it establishes. I want to know more. I want to know the history of the corpo wars and I want to see what they do with AI in the future. The plot seems a bit rushed, like they were intending on fleshing it out in DLC or Cyberpunk 2. While I'm very disappointed in how this game launched, I'm even more disappointed that it didn't do the creative vision justice and let it get a series or succesful games. In a world where IP is recycled endlessly, I think it will get its chance one day. I really hope this game doesn't join Fallout: New Vegas as one of the best games of all time that nobody played because of an abysmal launch. I'm STILL mad about Fallout: New Vegas...haha

very good game with many flaws

I would say the game without its flaws is 9/10. Unfortunatley there are a lot of things that ruin the experience. I am somewhere in the middle of the game and for me so far the most distrurning were: 1. I am playing it in the end of 2022 end thaere are still some bugs, no major, but still annoying, the police can teleport/ spawn in the least expected place near you. 2. No idea what someone had in mind when they put the c key for both crouching/sneaking and skipping of dilaouges and "cutscenes". I have skipped many lines unintentinally, because i wanted to hide behind cover or go under somethin... Like really is this the frist time these company makes games ? They have never played any ? 3. There is no flashlight... muhahhahhaa you need to max your screen brightness and contrast in some places. No eye modifications for nightvision/ thermal visio, etc. Just no, fuck you gamer and your monitor. No flashlight, even gun mounted, no flares. It is really hard to believe the same people made the Witcher. It seems they have never played any games like Half-life or Deus-Ex, or actually anything. The final mark is then 6/10 so 3 stars. Still worth playing, and buying when discounted.

Great game after patches

When i've played CP2077 for the first time it was of course, hard to play due to a large number of bugs. But after patches, game looks amazing and its really fun to play :)

Sad to say so, but this game sux :(

I played the game for several hours and had to restart multiple times. You can play an amazing game, until it decides to break. The game has an interesting story, an amazing immersion and very nice graphics. But in every game I started so far, The game breaks from one momentn to the other and seems to destroy all savegames. You can use a mobile phone to talk to several NPCs but so far in every save game, there was a point, when the game did not realize, that i stopped using my mobile phone and from this point on, I could no longer interact with anything in the game. I can no longer use the mobile phone, I can no longer use the fast travel terminals, I can no longer call my car, I can lo longer do anything. And this happened to me several times. And every time it allmost made me go rage because i want to follow the story and see whats next. But I cant. And because of this, the game is frustrating as hell. Don´t buy it, stay happy, stay away from night city. :(

A bit late to the game... enjoying it

I have only just started playing the game a bit over 2 years from release and the version i am playing is 1.61. A lot of the negative issues that previous reviewers have given have been resolved since then and what i am playing now feels like a decently polished game - with only a handful of slightly amusing bugs (nothing game breaking that i have come across so far). The only odd issue technical i encountered is during game play it would loose input from mouse and keyboard every few minutes for a second or so. It was very frustrating but I eventually resolved this by plugging my keyboard and mouse into different USB ports and everything cleared up. Me, personally i am enjoying the story and the RPG type elements, the crafting system is a bit different and it is annoying finding a decent cyberdeck mid game - but the technical gripes have pretty been worked out.
