Flawed, still very good

Don't listen to people telling you that the game is unplayeable. It's a very good product, flawed on release as every AAA game, probably incomplete until a couple of free DLC or a expansion drops, but the game is still good. You got tones of hours of gamepla, a very well written narrative and good characters to interact on a cool universe with stunning visual and good voice acting and music. Played +50 hours, completed the main story, some important sidequest and restarted the game after that: still haven't found a single major bug, only stupid things like an object floating every now and then, some glitchy npc and those kind of bugs, but nothing major like a mission blocked preventing you from advance. Performance? I play on a laptop with a rtx2070 (lower performance than the real gpu), everything on Ultra with default settings without ray tracing, 45-55 fps stable, never dropped under it. At times the city feels kind of empty, you cannot interact with 90% of what you see. The driving is awful, the double tap dash on keyboard controls is awful (but can be revamped manually) and it lacks customization after the character creation, but even with that noone can deny that the game is still very good. Want a scale? I'd say a 8'5/10 on its current state. Played everything with mouse and keyboard except the driving, for which I played with an xbox360 controller. Completely recommended if you are interested on a RPG with a Mafia style story on a futuristic setting. And the game is only going to improve with time

Poland, stay strong

Got through the game in approx 100 hours. Completed almost all of side quests, seen some endings, now aiming for achievements. Planning on two more walkthroughs when the game will be more stable. Game is good, that's why 4 stars. - THE CITY, IT'S DETAILS AND ATMOSPHERE, IS AWESOME! - Got about 30 hours of interesting quests including main plot and friends' missions (I mean really interesting), some fixers' biz were "meh" and most of "!/?" are Ubisoft style loot and money grinders, not really bad to kill some time between main misions if you don't want to roll too fast. - Shooting is okay, had some fun shooting the revolvers and smart rifles. - Driving is awful, sorry guys, but it feels like butter on the frying pan. And that minimap thing - you spot the corner you should turn the second before action, kind of pain in the... knee. - Sound though is pretty much cool, feels very immersive while in a headphones. Music is fine too, but somehow my playlist sounds more cyberpunk than game radio... Oh, and stuff that plays during combat, starts to annoy in 5 hours or so. Missed the Witcher 3 combat tracks (great Ending song btw, awesome, thank you for it!). - Was kind of dissapointed on whole sex thing in game. Witcher 3 had about 10 different sex scenes. When I've made it through the Cyberpunk I thought - wait, there are so much sex BD, advertisement, I must have missed something! Well, as a strainght guy I've missed only one additional sex scene. Guuuys, come on. Though, the scenes I've seen were well done, so good job anyway. - AI is pretty stupid, especially while in stealth. The main issue I had of course is the technical part. I had approx 1 game crush per hour, objects disappear or suddenly appear, can't loot, hud messages stuck on the screen, clothes move faster then characters, people acting strange. You know... the stuff. CD Project, waiting for Cyberfixes and your future games! We believe in you! Thank you for the game! For this PC verion at least :^)

Masterpiece but...

This game is really masterpiece, but this is not my cup of tea. I like it but I think CDP is cutting bigger piece of cake than can do it . really good scenario, grafics( play medium/high), mission, many options as sanbox. CD do this project for ý/8 years , I apologize but I dont see it only scenario. maybe next time for 60 EUR no.

A once-in-a-lifetime title

"No more terrible disaster could befall a people then for them to fall into the hands of a Hero." -- Frank Herbert, Dune I think something obtains for games and hype cycles. Particularly one that was many years long, across console generations, on the heels of a game-of-the-generation like Witcher 3. And to be clear, I think Cyberpunk lives up to the legacy of Wild Hunt. It is, paradoxically, a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is *also* the victim of an out-of-control hype cycle. Witcher 3 was buggy on release. So was Witcher 2. The less said of Witcher 1, the better. Bugs are not unusual. I think the real difference is that, while Witcher 1/2 were underground titles -- local kids that made good -- Witcher 3 put CDPR in the global spotlight. So they expected Cyberpunk 2077 to arrive on release night in the same condition that the Game of the Year edition of Witcher 3 was in. That is, in no uncertain terms, patently insane. Is the game good? Yes. Unquestionably. I sunk 80+ hours (87h5m as of this writing) into it on one playthrough, from start to finish. I'm planning on starting another one very soon. The writing moved me to tears, Night City is a joy to explore and just *be* in, the "sidequests" are superb, as excellently written and well-crafted as the main story, and this is only the beginning. The storytelling potential in this setting is staggering. I wouldn't recommend buying it on consoles. But honestly, I wouldn't recommend playing on consoles, *period*, for a pile of reasons. If you're reading this review on this website, that probably isn't a concern. If you're willing to put up with a few graphical hiccups, grab this game, and set aside some time for it to eat your spare time. Take the scathing negative press with several salt licks. Outrage drives clicks, much more than sober, level-headed reporting. I'm willing to bet that the story you will experience in this title will stay with you for a long, long time.

Love it,and CD Projekt. The glitches tho

Wonderfully made story and game with nice controls, graphics, and mechanics. As expected from Projekt Red. What wasn't expected from them was a boat load of glitches. Some quite impairing to progression so the player must reload the game to make it stop. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because even with glitches it's still a wonderful game that's quite immersive. I would recommend playing it regardless and I look forward to more game from Projekt Red in the future. The covid had a part to play in hampering the development of the game I'm sure.
