No-One can recommend this game

I think this game can rightfully be scored 1 through 5 out of 5. If you're like me, have a top end GPU (RTX 3080) or play at 1080p with a Mid-Range GPU, intend to use a controller, don't require locked 60 at all times, then the game is mostly very enjoyable. The world seems crazy, the story is really good (although it doens't allow as much freedom as we were promised, this means the marketing was bad not the campaign. If you were mis-sold the importance of choice then of course this game is 1/2 stars because it simply doesn't deliver.), the gunplay is OKAY, not great, not terrible and the graphics (if your game runs) are amazing although feel unoptimized. There are a lot of bugs (I've had nothing game breaking, just inconvenient mostly). But I think bugs can be overlooked if everything else was top tier but it just isn't quite. Everything in this game feels like 4/5. The story is good but there's no freedom. The guns/combat should be good with cover mechanics and cool weapons but something makes it feel off (maybe enemies do too much damage and I deal too little?). There seems to be a lot of choice of clothes to make you feel how you want but it affects stats so you have to dress with your best gear. There are tonnes of upgrade options but they don't give you anything new, just modify what you have from the start (stat bonuses instead of new skills so you never feel more powerful, you're always trying to keep up with the enemies getting tougher so combat never changes from start to finish). So if I had to sum up, and I could talk about this game for hours so I'll try my best, this game has so much going on, its a jack-of-all-trades and master of none. But we were promised a master of all and that's where the disappointment and upset comes in. People were overhyped for something which simply could never deliver. There's just something missing from every aspect of this game so it feels 'good' everywhere but rarely great anywhere.

A little something for everybody...

Graphics optimized for PC, Controls optimized for console but gameplay optimized for no one. I was really excited for this game for quite some time now and I honestly feel like management definitely rushed it in the end. Probably should've been in development for like 2 more years. The content is really lackluster, the AI doesn't really work and don't even try melee combat cause it's just basically broken. Personally don't like the way the story and goes and how the Silverhand stuff is basically forced onto you. 10/10 really makes you feeeeel like Cyberpunk himself.

Buying this now is an investment

I've ran into numerous very minor bugs, but only one bug in a story-level mission that required me to load a previous save. I was making my way out of Arasaka Tower, and at one point there is a specific guard that you must loot an access card from. I chose to kill this guard (along with everyone else in the mission), and once I was done with everyone in that wave I noticed that the guard's body had teleported far outside of the tower (minimap showed it as being in the water). Reloading and running through this portion of the game again didn't have the same problem. Right now, the state of this game is not as polished as I would have hope it would be coming from CDPR. At the same time, their are elements of this game even in its current state that make is very enjoyable and worth playing. Combine this with the guarantee that CDPR will improve the game by fixing bugs and adding in new features over time, and you have an easy must buy. I am glad CDPR chose to release the game in its current state personally, since this is not a multiplayer game and I can deal with non-breaking bugs.

Good potencial, but so many are wasted,

This is my first game I bought for premiere, but I don't think that so many bugs will be repaired... - story is great, have some unexpected cases, potencially for more, immersion is so-so - much far from Hellblade - characters are interesting with some exceptions - city is sooo great, big, detailed..., but you must like Blade Runner, 5th Element movies and such a future fantasy topics (I prefer medieval, ancient & modern times) - anyway world is amazing - graphic is great however optimalization is far from perfecion - my GTX1060 6GB, 16GB, i7 cannot work with high details - sound & music is wonderful - mechanic like sneaking & shooting is terrible - this is so far from even good, that this cause gameplay doesn't give satisfaction at all for me. Sneaking is almost impossible - when you don't want to kill anybody - no chance. It doesn't have to be Dishonoured, but at leasr closer to Tomb Raider, or FarCry. Shooting is so crazy and irrasionable, because you must shoot to "almost" normal human many times, forget about headshoots and one-bullet-one-kill cases. It should look so much closer to Far Cry 3, 4, 5 or, anything, but not this bullet buckets... - AI is on bottom comparing to any game - especially Policemans, stucking enemies that can't open ealier opened doors, not chasing me, hunging up, standing, etc. - terrible. Half-life from 1998 was better on this point. - so many bugs & glitches connected with movement, conflict analizes that I have never seen before - I am watching movie on Youtube with new episode every day, however I have examples also in my game (I don;t record it to improve fps!). C'mon CD Red ! This game should be much better...
