Why so raw?
This game is interesting, but so raw goddammit! Bugs, animations, dialogues - i keep feeling, that this game was made by ubisoft...

Enjoyable, no worldbuilding benchmark
It is a shame that there are so many users with performance and crash issues, but I can’t relate: I only have a mid-range gaming laptop and my game has been running smoothly so far. Of course, I have the occasional glitches, but nothing remotely game breaking. Maybe I’ve been lucky. That said, I agree that the game is not really living up to the expectations. I was hoping for a step further than Read Dead Redemption 2 in terms of world building and NPC AI/animations, but so far it feels closer to Saints Row IV or even Mafia III (which had qualities in their own right). The rather idiotic NPC behaviour when driving on the sideway or shooting is truly sending us back to the early days of open world cities in gaming. I’ve read some things about characterization being shallow. That’s unfair to the enormous amount of work put into quality acting, at least for the English version that I know. Writers have been allowed to take time building moving, meaningful interactions. It is true however that this only applies to a select few characters. Outside of the main storyline, plot substance is thin; as far as I can tell, it’s mostly just about sending you to eliminate a target or get a package. Mercenary life, one could say, as expected, but a bit shallow if you have again RDR2 in mind… Yet, after 15 hours, the game still calls for being tested and explored. The structural richness and complexity of the city is a fact. Hacking and sneaking may not provide what you’d like, but that’s an expected result of being a low-level character. So, in a nutshell, is CB2077 impressive? Definitely. Is it enjoyable? Definitely. Is it the breakthrough of its time “defining new norms in worldbuilding”? I can’t say it is.

Brilliant game marred by crashes
I started playing yesterday (after the first big patch) so i might have avoided the initial batch of bugs (there are some but nothing game breaking) but what's really killing the fun for me rn are the crashes. I went the first 5h without crashes, then i had one and another 5h of pure fun. now i just had like half a dozen crashes in 2h... I keep sending bug reports and i hope they are going to be fixed soon but as of now i have to deduct 2 stars for the crashes, i will update the review as it gets patched. The world they created and the way they tell the story is still as sublime as it was in the witcher 3. I often sit here smiling from ear to ear fully immersed in night city. So if they get a grip of the technical issues this is definitely a 5/5 game for me.

CyberPunk 2077 thoughts so far (27 hrs)
. bugs galore, ( enemies getting stuck thru walls killing me, while driving a ghostly form of my character pops up, , relic malfuction bug where i have to restart the game to get it off, random objects floating in the air while having a convo with npcs, unable to talk to certain venders to get items) . performance is inconsistent to the point where it takes you fully out of the immersion of the game. . At some points you can get a good 70 to 85 fps in then game and while it last its very enjoyable, But then out of no where the game goes to 49 to 53 fps and continues that performance until i restart the game Gameplay and Story: This is the part that will keep you hooked. The gameplay gives you so many ways to play that you'll never get bored of replaying it for the different playstyles that cyberpunk affords the player. Skill Tree: Not getting too in depth with this but the i love this type of skill tree in video games where you dont have to spend your precious skill points on abilties you wont use to get the ones that you wanted all along. You can pick from a wide array of skills and spend those point on the specific ones you need to achieve your dream build and its awesome. Gunplay: the gunplay is nothing special but running and gunning can be a more then legit way to play the game. Im happy that they didnt choose the laser beam style of gunplay like a cod or destiny. Both cod and destinys style of gunplay are one of the most enjoyable ways to play a shooter, but for cyberPunk CDPR chose to add recoil to base weapons which adds some type of skill ceiling (Not a huge one) but it makes players have to think and use actual gunskill to survive tough situations. Story: i dont want say to much but its good so far, and the side missions are what makes me love what CDPR is doing with this game. Hopefully this can help someone decide if this game is worth the spending your hard earned money on. 27 hours in and i have a love/hate relationship

It's OK, i guess
I just leave the bugs aside here, i'm sure CDPR will fix them in no time. - I really like the world they have created, the world looks so alive, and is full of an impressing amount of love to detail, never have i ever seen anything like this. That graphics, sound, motion capture, acting and voice over, are amazing. And those sure must be the "Big features" i see, why everyone is so in love with Cyberpunk. For me, the whole experience is a bit disappointing, i really hoped this world would suck me into it, but if i look at the big picture, the RPG elements, the shooter parts, the stealth, the hacking, the quests, the driving and even sometimes the story, i just can't fall in love with it. For me, those systems are OK at best. There is just nothing in it for me that gets me that excited, i play it because i don't know what else to play at the moment. Here are some examples: -Bullet sponge enemies, even the heads takes some amount of bullets. -You can spend an hour creating an awesome character, but you won't see that fella often in the actual game, as you have to play it in first person. -The origin story is done in 15mins, and does only have little impact in later game. -The AI is more artificial than intelligent. -The HUD is a mess, huge tips popping up on the side of the screen for a second, while the game is taking your attention, so you will often miss it. (No hud scaling) -Some story parts just don't make sense, like that threatening person you meet that assaults you, uses you and betrays you, next part of that story you can make sweet love. -The controls are a mess and you can't even rebind everything. -Most dialogue options are leading to the same outcome. -The World is a wonderful stage, that's just empty behind the curtain. Overall: Graphics 5/5 Story 3/5 Sound 4/5 Gameplay 2/5 Immersion 3/5 Handling 1/5 So: 3/5 I feel bad for not liking it more, as the love in detail is insane.
