A little disappointed

after having "so" waited for this release of the game, and also the first videos on YB. I knew that some had also been waiting for it for so many years as I saw it .. "short" I have the impression of a more modern "déjà vu" that reminds me of when I knew that the sequel to a game was coming out for the Christmas holidays. Except that there .. Even if the game is "graphically" 'superb and that I read that there was some form of internal AI in the game (So more evolved than the Fallout series in theory), .. . This is not the case.. The game seems to me "dirigiste" .. In short! In this style of play like Fallout or "a little" atom RPG (Very small, of course) ::: I prefer open space and freedom of movement, in short to make the most of the game world. . There, for the moment :: I do not have the impression. All the Youtubers videos that I have watched are "identical" ... In short, "Clones" .. I will wait a bit on what I see, especially since the price does not help seeing the wait since ..? 2016 ,,, is that it?

One hell of trip...

Bugs and glitches aside, the game is very decent. Overall it nail perfectly the atmosphere, of a cyber punk game. 1. Story and quest wise, both main story and side quest is enjoyable. However at the same time is also kinda linear (your choice doesn't matter), and sometime leave loose end or very unsatisfying ending (you don't feel the consequences of your action). [minor spoiler] The game kinda set the theme of survival, so it's leave out a large part of the brutal gang war, corps war, political war, which is a shame. 2. The world is beautiful, while spending time inside the game world, I have exactly the same "awe feeling" like when I was walking the street in Hongkong or Tokyo in real-life. Kudo to the dev team for that. However, there are little way you can interact with the world itself. Outside the quests, there is nothing to do beside bounty hunting. NPC are just "doll" walking around there is nothing interesting about their life or conversation. There are no random encounter or memorable moment beside the quests. You see a sushi store expecting getting sushi there but turn out just a generic store where you can buy "hotdog" and "Coke" (or may be yakuza 0 has set the bar too high for this). In the end just good to look at. That is it. 3. Driving is horrible, cars and bikes not different much. It's just meh. You can buy cars and bike but for each of them you have quests, so you end up with like 20 quests just go to the car and buy it. Is it really hard to make a car shops (go back to nothing to do in the world). 4. RPG element is half-bake. You have normal level you get from normal XP (do quest and shoot stuff) and the you have perks which level up base on how much you use a skill (copy from Elder Scroll duh!). Super confusing!!! Overall, after clocking like 40h. The game is still very enjoyable for me to play despite all the issue. I really hope they fix the bugs and improve the world to make it reach the potential of what the game could be.

It needs some work

I essentially got the game that I wanted. An FPS RPG. The game's presentation is overall very good, but there are a lot of bugs that need to be addressed, AI needs additional work, stories really need to be fleshed out with real impacts. I ran the game on an 2070 RTX card and its been nearly flawless. Most of the bugs I have encountered are minor, not game breaking. At its core I want this game to have more of an open world feel. I want to have factions where I can sign up to and work with. The game while story driven at teams, feels like it would have been better served to be a game more akin to open world survival games. I expected when I played a streetkid, that my choices would have severe impacts both positive and negative. This does not appear to be well fleshed out either. I really enjoy playing in the game/world more so than doing the main story. I hope they address the bugs over the coming months and then maybe, just maybe add some content to solidify the game. I gave it a 4 out of 5 as I had almost no issues, except bugs were there, and the not feeling the impacts of in-game decisions. Its probably going to be a good game when its bugs are dealt with and if they add content in a manner that pushes the game forward with its AI and such.

Remember the W3 Launch

The Witcher 3 launch was also very rough, however there's still lots to enjoy! The Good: +Setting and dialogue is incredibly immersive, it really feels like cyberpunk. +Great music and sound effects, the in-game radio deserves tons of praise. +Main story and side quests are quite gripping, there are some very well-written characters in there. +Building your character, even if mostly small perks, is a lot of fun. The Bad: -Gunplay and melee is stuck between Borderlands and Deus Ex. personally, I would have preferred it to be more like DE. Give me a few guns, but make them highly cusomizable. Moreover, make the TTK more realistic. -Driving feels off. It's close to good, but feels wonky right now. I'd suggest giving every vehicle 50 % more road grip, they simply slide out too easily. -Lack of polish. I've seen many different bugs, I can ignore most of them. But, I would rather they were not there. No crashes yet and the game runs fine on my mid-tier rig. -This one is too late, but I would rather have graphics that are more stylized. Instead, CP2077 often aims for realism and falls short. The hair in particular looks really bad. Bottom Line: I'm enjoying my time with CP2077 immensly. It is not perfect, and I'm honestly shocked by some of the reactions the game has gotten. Give it a year and I'm sure the game will be remembered just as fondly as Witcher 3. In the meantime, I recommend the game if you play for the story. If you want an open world to miss around in, I would consider another game.

A brilliant game plagued with problems

This is an amazing game at it's core but the bugs, horrendous AI and lack of key bind customization makes me give it a 3/5. If these three areas get adressed and fixed I would say it is closer to a 4/5 or a 8/10. What is hidden behind the isseus is a masterpeice of a game. Pros: + Probably the most detailed city I have ever seen in a game + Mostly satesfying gun play + Fun character progression + Multiple playstyles + Great music + Really good voice acting + Lip synching is better than most games + Interesting story Cons: - Very poor AI - Melee combat feels spammy and repetitive - Driving feels only okay - Pretty poor PC optimization on even really good machines - Extreme ammount of bugs - Player movement feels very floaty especially when jumping down from something - Bad UI design - Lack of Key bind configuration
