A good game but I'm not in love with it
It's been a minute, so I don't honestly know how to rate this game. I remember that the combat was fun, the graphics were fun too. I liked running around naked hitting things. I liked being a rambo instead of sneaking around. The game allows for different types of gameplay, it doesn't have annoying stealth missions you fail if you are a run in and KILL THEM ALL type of gamer. The game provides enough of a challenge. It seems like you can level up your character to be basically invicible. You have to be sort of smart about what items you're carrying and what abilities you have sometimes. I was at end of the game, realized I had to upgrade my character to win, craft "med-packs" thankfully I could. I played as a female V. The costumization options are actually pretty great if you enjoy playing around with the features of your virtual character... The game is huge and there's much to explore but at times I think it still felt repetitive and kind of monotonous exploring the world, almost boring, yet I still played. It did capture the feeling sometimes of just walking around a virtual city but they could have done even more with it, but it's not a virtual-life simulator, it's a game...The world itself is sort of twisted, gloom, litterally "cyberpunk" but in sometimes somewhat off-putting ways, if not strangely allurring. I enjoyed going around causing trouble for hours on end, just beating up random people or climbing up random buildings. Some of the choices had great pay off, scenes that rewarded you for your choices. Choice games, to me, are kind of stressfull sometimes because, you don't want a crappy ending by your own hand and to feel like you wasted your time, vs when a game simply has a crappy ending, you beat the game and just take it as it is. I didn't play the expansion, but I guess I played the "happy ending", the stand alone game doesn't really have a truly "happy ending". I was stressed sometimes making choices having put that much time into it
