The game has potential, but it's not optimized at all. my GTX 1080 + i7 8700 + ssd Sansung pro 960 + 32 Gb Ram 3000mhz can run this game at 40 fps only...
Also, you can't choose the antialiasing that the game uses, which makes everything ugly.
Because the players sure are not. Constant crashes, very poor performance, bugs everywhere, lack of content, I could go on - but what's the point? Developers also could go on and make the game playable for the next few months, but a quick buck was more important to them. Wait at least a few months before picking it up, it's currently unplayable basically.
25+ hours in and the game has corrupted all my saves. Have to restart and truthfully there is not much reason to.
Map markers do not show correct position. People teleport in the middle of mission. Stealth does not work properly. Weapons seem woefully underpowered at times(even when able to find components to upgrade).
Could have been more than woo someone and then never talk to them again in game. Most characters just stand and do nothing afterward(no interactions like small tasks or even going out).
Cybernetics seem underwhelming. You cannot even get nightvision or thermal for eyes. No barber or place to get tats(people still like seeing things on the character screen).
Between the crashes, bugs, glitches and now save breaking. I will likely uninstall and wait yet another year till some dlc is out. Maybe it will be better then?
The game looks and sounds amazing, what lets it down is all the small things. CDPR promised alot and failed to deliver, the city feels dead and empty GTAV has a better living city and it is seven years old.
Npc's will give you a line of dialog then stop talking all together, there are no police or gangs patrolling the streets on foot or driving, you can literally crash cars till they explode and the other drivers don't bat an eye.
The promises made fall far short of what was delivered, clothing has no use aside from putting on whatever gives you the highest armor, dialog choices are meaningless and all lead you back to the same point.
The game need far more time to iron out the bugs and issues let alone implement anything close to what CDPR promised.
Do yourself a favor and wait for a while till it gets patched significantly or pass it up all together. Watch some reviews and do your research before dropping the Eddies on this.
I loved The Witcher 3. I loved to hear about what Cyberpunk 2077 will be years ago. I was absolutely sure that CDPR, the heroes of the modern gaming industry, would deliver. didn't want to spoil the experience and patiently waited without looking at promotional material. If I did, I would've saved some money and time.
The game is... good, at first. 15 hours into it, even with the bugs galore that it is, the story is intriguing, the world is big and there's a lot of stuff to check off your quest journal.
The more I explored Night City, the more I noticed that something's wrong. Bare bones AI and Police systems, no minigames, so much stuff you can buy but is basically unusable junk, limited customization - it all makes the beautiful world extremely shallow once you step outside of a quest(even some side quests feel like outsourced junk, being very short, lacking any meaning). It doesn't feel like a Role-Playing Game at all. Other reviews mention how lifepaths don't change much, and they're right - this game, by the same people that created dark fantasy games which carried choices and consequences between one another through save files, made your background a half-hour tease, then cut it short with the same montage(which even features cut content and messes with a fixer's introduction later on). Choices have next to no meaning, the endings nearly ruin the only saving grace of this game - an otherwise well-written story with interesting characters.
I went on YouTube to see how many of the mentioned features, and much more, were promised, but not delivered. I'm seeing how one of most pro-consumer companies turns into EA, with them lying about console builds, absolutely rushing this to release before holidays. Check it yourself - the lies go deep. And the worst of all - they don't plan on fixing the core problems, I'm not sure they even can do so. No DLC or patch can rewrite this half-assed attempt at a Cyberpunk role-playing game. This isn't the company we loved.
