Cyberpunk 2077

this game is extremely buggy throughout, most of the time it's funny or you can reload to fix it. this is the first time however that i've played a game so buggy it's prevented me from being able to finish the game. side quests and such is forgivable but not when it's the main quest, especially right at the end of the game.

In its current state it is unplayable. Overall the game play is redundant and really not fleshed out. If you are not doing missions there open world really feels like it is missing the life that was promised, and is less lively then games such as GTA5 or RDR2. It also just feels like it is incomplete, like it was built as a concept and not to be a full game. I really have a hard time saying anything good about this game.

As the title says: even with most of the bugs fixed the game (v1.31) barely lands above mediocre. The open world is a nice looking stage to drive by in your bad handling car. But don't stop and look closer, because it will collapse right in front of you. AI switches between 2 stages; walking around in circles or cowering in fear. There is nothing to see or explore apart from the generic go there and shoot something areas. The gameplay consists of you running around meeting forgettable people, shooting at forgettable gangs and occasionally hitting buttons to "hack". Your characters background doesn't matter. You will get the occasional added dialogue line, which will change exactly nothing in your progression through the attached quest. The Story and character development are okay, but not good enough to keep me going. They might be able to improve on what is there right now. But it will never be an outstanding game, let alone something you'd call a RPG.

While I personally enjoyed the game quite a bit, I have to say that until we get it to the standard set during that 50 minute E3 presentation, I cannot recommend the game in good will, 'least not without a heavy discount. There is tons of missing features like NG+ (The "cinematic intro that you can't exactly skip" can only be entertaining so many times -- don't even get me started on braindances), QoL improvements that still need to be implemented, and even content that was promised and not retracted after release. While the latest patch (1.52 as of when this is written) does do a lot to push the game in a more positive direction, and approaces what the Alpha of the game should have looked like, it's still not enough.
