Unsure whether to reinstall again

So, I bought this game on launch day, and most of my hours of play followed that. After getting through a decent portion of maybe the first half of the game, I encountered a game-breaking bug where I was permanently stuck in the hacking view after exiting out of a terminal I was hacking, unable to do basically anything except move around while being surrounded by enemies. Since I would've lost about an hour of progress, as loading the previous autosave didn't really fix this issue (character would get stuck in the hacking view every time), I decided to uninstall the game. I heard they were going to be working on fixes, and I'd seen what other people were experiencing. Thankfully, up until that point I hadn't had really any issues aside from some frame drops. Fast forward to earlier this last year, sometime in summer or fall 2021, and I reinstalled the game to give it another go. Within the first couple hours of playing that time around, I had Jackie walking through walls. I also was driving around for a little bit after that, and noticed how the radio signal dropped in tunnels. Pretty cool, I thought, good attention to detail. Then all sounds except for road noise faded out while I was just driving around a couple of minutes after that, no tunnel involved. I gave it up again. I want to believe that there's been some work done in the past few months that fixes all of these minor and major issues, I really do. Witcher 3 has its share of bugs too, even in its more current version patches, but nothing that would really throw up a red flag like Cyberpunk has. Hopefully CDPR isn't just focusing on getting quick fixes out, since some of the issues I encountered are with core systems (broken audio cues, issues that stop progression, etc). These type of things need to be looked at from a macro level, then broken up into workable sections based on importance. Maybe I'll reinstall this game again and take a look, edit this later. Doubt I will though.

Started rough, finished strong

So I was one of the pre orders. At first regretted it. Game was rough. Controls didn' t not work well, and I like many others set it aside for a while. Last night, I finsihed my first play through, and I have to say I will be doing another. Despite all the noise, despite the early bugs, CDPR finally polished this up to a good gem. Over all, I really ended up enjoying the story. Yes, V runs on rails but the story is solid. A character infected by the soul of a Rock Star in teh Classic Cyberpunk setting with all its rotten glory. Give it a chance.

2.0 is just... meh

I really was looking forward to Phantom Liberty and 2.0. But after playing the last weekind I was really disappointed and sad in which direction the game went. It sounded interesting, the new features and the new skilltree. The features are fine, but the skilltree is just horrible. Everything is 90% Combat now. There are not really interesting things and stealth netrunning got completely destroyed. If you use an quickhack, you get tracked back. By another netrunner? Well, it seems like everyone is a netrunner now. And if the tracking finishes every enemy is going after you. It feels like you are being forced to do combat now. Stealth is just uninteresting now, active combat is the way to play. And personally I don´t like that. You could experiment with the old skills and make crazy builds. Now it feels like getting punished for experimenting. Pure Netrunner Builds are impossible now. Okay, so gunplay instead. But enemies are bullet sponges now and shooting a gun drains your stamina, which is... huh? Why? It just isn´t fun anymore. I don´t feel like I can play the game in my way anymore, it feels like the devs wanted you to play it in their way. Which is weird. I could understand the nerfs, if it was a multiplayer game. But it isn´t. Now it feels like being that you get punished, when you try things. Like you have no choice how to play the game anymore. Cyberpunk 2077 was one of my favorite games, with its story and the different playstyles. But now it is just like every other shooter out there. Skill something, then take a gun and kill people. That said, if you like playing a Lootshooter like borderlands, but with lesser weapons and none of the humour and like GTA, CP2077 2.0 is the right game for you. For others who liked netrunning, stealth and not using guns everytime, maybe you should dodge the game in its current state.

Not finished yet...

Eagerly preordered and preinstalled ready to play whne it hit 00:00 Dec 10th, but I've barely been able to play the game becaus eI keep having to go back and adjust the graphics settings to get to some accetapble level - even with settings on a comfortable medium it still looks like GTA Vice City, and when the game so quickly throws you into Night City (as previous reviews mentioned it takes less than 20 minutes to get there so your character origin story doesn't really count for much) the quality drops horrendously in setting the atmnoshepere for a game thats all about the immesriveness and atmosphere of its world. I'm running it on 16gb with a GTX 1050 ti (I know there are always better graphics cards but for the average working class guy dropping another £500 on a card to play one game is too steep) and cannot express my disappointment high enough. tl;dr the game seems great, I just haven't been able to get there yet because the system requirements are too high for the average gamer to afford

Glitches are only skin deep but ......

but mediocrity goes down to the core I can deal with the glitches as I am not having that bad a problem. The problem is how generic the game is. You can tell how much content there is cut(that or CDPR straight out lied). Instead of a deep RPG we got a Ubisoft open world with a terrible loot system. Also I have suspicion the story changed alot after Keanu Reeves joined in 2018 and the scramble is one of the reasons the game seems very rushed. At first it is like a rags to riches story then once Johnny comes in he is centre stage and everything before that meant nothing. I will even go so far as to say once the Jackie montage was once playable.
