Heartbreaking...

I was so much hyped up for this game. I have given this game a proper chance. I have reached 100% achievement even though I don't like it. I am playing with an RTX 3070 and I tried every possible setting and I didn't like the graphics at all. Sure some sights are really beautiful but 90% of the game's graphics are so much irritating to me and seem incomplete. There was so much potential to the story but they implement the story in the worst possible way. There are some interesting characters but their interaction with the main character is poor. You will start this game as V and honestly, I don't think even CDPR loves this character at all. There is no depth to this character. As the game's name suggests you have to play as a punk. There is no role to play in this RPG. You have to choose your character from three-class: Corpo, Nomad, and Street, and they mean almost nothing in the main story. The gigs and ncpd scanner missions are so much uninteresting. Most of their story development is funny to me. This game is buggy and poorly optimized and although it improves a lot after 6 months, you will certainly see many inconsistencies in the game environment which is irritating. The NPC is boring and dull. There is no real life to them. No interesting conversations between NPC. Their mechanics in the game is poorly done and sometimes irritating. Overall I am very disappointed. They marketed this game in such a way that it's created so many expectations. Very painful and heartbreaking for me to see the game in such a state.

To be fair...

I fully blame Adam Badowski. And the lead quest designer that lied in that interview about vehicle customization and a bunch of other stuff like rooftops and climbing on walls. But I think what grinds my gears is that the devs were getting paid 400 bucks a month?! Is that why the game is what it is? The complete lack of continuity in Keanu either being a jerk or being reasonable was distracting but makes sense if people were randomly working on it for less than minimum wage. Is this like the Burger King age of video games now? And how does one random polish guy gets to cash out on the top because of insider information and everyone else has to eat it? Devilry aside, 40% of the perks not working and wearables not being rigged is just flat out lazy. I can't even with this game anymore. 1 year later and it is maybe worse off than on day 1. I rate this game 2 stars only because 1 star reviews are being removed. Please give me a refund because NONE of the dlc came out when you promised and the game is still a horrible mess. Just shameful, 10 freaking years! 10 years of dev! Adam Badowski is the new Todd Howard.

Just bad storytelling

This game is like going to Disneyland and finding out you're there to fill out tax forms. If there's a backstory in your game that's more interesting than the actual story, you should be telling that story. It seems like every person you talk to in Night City has a more interesting story than V. Heck, the montage for your arrival to Night City at the beginning of the game is a more interesting story than the one you play. I get the artistic intent here (which I'll omit for spoiler reasons) but it just falls flat, especially in light of the aforementioned montage. The whole world screams "look at me, look at how awesome I am, how great your experience could be if you didn't have to do the thing you're doing right now". I was hoping it would go somewhere interesting, but by Act II I was just cheesing my way through everything to get to the credits. '

Not an RPG

I don't know why it's in the same section as Dragon Age, Fallout, Pillars of eternity and other actual RPGs but this is not an RPG.

Overhiped, undervelivered

What was the marketing team thinking? Seriously. Its not that features were cut, but that there is SO MUCH STUFF not included entirely in the game one would think the final release is a demo. Game is really fun and all but you can see the cut content in the game even if you didn't see any trailers. Most obvious example that comes to mind is Police and Trauma Team. You get introduced to trauma team by a mission and a pseudo-cinematic only to never appear again. In conclusion, game is a huge disappointment even if it's fun.
