Still garbage

Bought this game on release. I finished eery single side quest and main missions in the game (as buggy as they were). Came back to the game almost a year after its release to see what has changed.... Not much... It is still a buggy , broken mess. I even went ahead and got some mods to make the game less glitchy , but it is still a mess. Cops still spawn right behind you or better yet, under ground and shoot you from there. NPCs spaz out and jerk around for no reason etc. Im sure you have heard the rest... Overall: a buggy , glitchy, messy gameplay with horrible "bullet sponge" fight mechanic. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Missing features galore!

Not even close to the 2018 demo or gameplay shown in the Night City streams, tons of features gone, and basic mechanics that have been a staple in Open World games are completely missing or done poorly. For example, this game doesn't have a wanted system, police spawn right behind you, they can't drive vehicles, so no car chases. NPC pedestrians are incredibly stupid, they do not have a 24-hour cycle, they disappear as soon as you turn around. The city has no mini-games or racing events, essentially everything GTA did seven years ago, Cyberpunk 2077 cannot do. Yet the biggest crime of all, the fact they couldn't even deliver an RPG based on the tabletop of the same name, what a sham. Until this game turns into the 2018 demo, don't even bother with this game.

Disappoing, even ignoring the hype

While some people were hyped for the game for years, I only found out about it a year before its release. So I did have some hype for it and was the first game I ever preordered. That said, CP2077 has convinced me to never preorder a video game again. The game was a buggy mess on day 1. IDK it's current state but there are still features missing that should've been in the game. Example, the Wanted System is barebones and barely works. The cops don't chase you but instead teleport behind (which they changed to teleport further away but they still teleport). They pubicly advertised wall-climbing on their twitter but later removed it. Disregarding all the hype and missing features from the game, literally watch a comparison video CP2077 and any old GTA game. How does a game that came out more than a decade ago have more features? Examples include water physics, flat tires, proper NPC AI, buildings you can enter to do various side tasks, etc. I would never recommend someone to buy and play CP2077. The only circumstance I would recommend it or play it again is if all the major bugs are fixed and you want a nice screenshot of a beautiful city for a wallpaper. Witcher 3 is literally better than CP2077 in every way, no argument.

Missing promised features

You cant rebind a lot of controls, its missing promised features, the character customization is lacking, the phisics are buggy npcs constantly get stuck over terrain, the performance is bad, the driving is stiff, you cannot walk on pc theres legit no buttons for it. Braindance is boring after youre first playthrough, the choices you make during the story are mostly pointless, the only choices that matter are made at the end of the game. Theres no barber, or plastic surgeon in a city where "style is everything" so youre stuck with the character you make at the beggining. Ai is terrible, the police wanted system is early alpha at best, the day and night cycle is basically non existent, theres nothing to do in the world aside from shooting people, i completed all the side objectives, the areas of interest and the story under 80hrs, the amount of value you get is lacking when compared to something like Skyirm, Witcher 3, etc. For me the biggest disappointment is the character customization, i wanted to go fully borg, and just have all that i can replaced with metal and mech parts, but aside from the hands there are no interesting changes you can make to your character. Buy it when you can pick it up for ~20€ if it stays in this state.

Wait ~2 more years

Given the games current state and the pace patches are coming out I'd say give this game at least 2 more years before you consider buying it. It's decent but it's nothing more than a shell of what was promised at this point. In a couple years hopefully they will have gotten the game to the state it should have been in at release and it'll probably be dirt cheap.
