Cyberpunk 2077

This game was marketed to allow you to be who you wanted to be in night city but, unfortunately, you are given very few opportunities to actually make meaningful decisions. The city is beautiful but there really is not much to do in it outside of shooting npcs. The combat and builds are mediocre. The graphics and cutscenes are very good but this cannot carry the rest of the game. While it is clear a lot of work went into mocap and writing of the story, it seems that the actual gameplay was nearly forgotten. Not terrible. Not great. Absolutely disappointing.

While I enjoyed the story this game has a lot of problems. There are tons of bugs, that leads you to getting stuck and you need to reload your game. I even have one mission, that I can't finish, because the object that I'm suppose to pick up is glitched threw the floor and even reloading won't fix it. Driving around the city is little to no fun because the driving physics are wonky, the navigation is terrible and the AI traffic is stupid. The AI will get stuck in mid traffic for no reason at all. There even are race missions where the AI's behind you will flip there cars and crash into everything but still stick to your rear because they will get portet right behind you everytime they fall too far behind. Also what bothers me personaly is that the traffic lights will switch from red to green almost always as you aproach them, even if they just switched to red. Dialog is weird. Sometimes V seems to be smart and understand everything in seconds other times V seems autistic and doesn't understand anything even when he gets it explained. Besides the main story there are tons of side missions but most missions on the map are kill this person or steal this stuff which gets pretty repetitive and boring. Sadly only a thew of them are different and have unique storys or interresting encounters and some of them get ruined by bugs aswell which makes it less enjoyable. The game also has economics issues. I have done all missions (besides the one I can't finish) and still dont have enough money or tools to craft and buy a lot of stuff that I want and getting money when everything is done on the map is a grind. Even though I played this game a lot and tried to finish every mission I can't rate it higher than 2 Stars since its such a buggy mess and frustrated me a lot threwout my playthroug.

As the title say, the game has incredible potential, and you can see that they have put great effort into little details, but on the other hand they clearly rushed it out and did not finished a lot of things. The game try to reach Rockstar games, but they lack the needed polish. Bugs, bugs, bugs, glitches and bugs again. Sudden drops in performance untill you restart the game smells like memory leaks. Flashing, clipping animations, not finished physics and just plain silly things. The loot and progression system is broken totally, the game doesn't tell you many things so you are wondering is this a bug or a feature :D Duplicating items without you wanting it, unable to sell or drop items, its just soo many problems i can't even start to mention them all. Perhaps in an year they will kinda patch it up, lets hope so, but game developers should never release games in such state.. whoever is greenlighted this to get out to public, should be fired and never ever work in gaming industry again.

I played this game from launch and didn't experience any severe bugs or peoblems on the technical side. However, what I experienced was a tremendous disappointment gameplaywise. This game was never a RPG. A fantastic amount of promises were made prior to launch and none were delivered. I did one playthrough and uninstalled, but I have since hoped CDPR could salvage this game over time. One year in They have apparently fixed a lot of bugs and glitches, but nothing has been done about the fantasticially bland world/characters/plotline - uninstalled yet again.

Positive points: - Impressive city. - Great original score and voiceover. - Main characters are well written. - Interesting story. - Interesting skills development of the main character. - The gunplay is quiet fun. Negative points: - Empty city, full of NPC without intelligence. Never a game with such amount of NPC makes me feel so alone. - The story could last more, the final mission gets without explaining some things. - The user interface is awful, specially the minimap (using it while driving is a complete pain) and map (the tasks, secondary missions and other stuff has the same icon). - The overall IA. - Has a lot of bugs, mainly visual, but also some that causes to load a previous game. - Tons of activities... Without interest. - V is quiet bipolar, sometimes it is the most comprehensive person, but others is the opposite. - The different initial paths of the story are useless, the only thing that changes is the end of the game, but it does not depend on your origin, but on certain decisions. I would only recommend this game to people that really loves the cyberpunk genre, but still he/she should wait until most of the bugs are fixed.
