Unfinished and buggy but amazing

First of all i enjoyed it so much that i played it two times in a row (i am currently on my second run). Yet the game is a buggy mess (well i got only two blocking bug), if you want a properly finished game dont buy it (on date of 22/12/2020, like, police spawn if you are wanted, meh) For me, short way to describe it is, game is so huge and they builded so much game possibility (gameplay, relation, world ect...), they only managed to cover 60% of the potential, and the missing 40% that could be in this game pop to your face, even though those 60% are worth or better than some of the best game. An exemple, your are in a amazing main quest and then you come back to the open world, and you are facing npc and world with close to 0 interaction. It's a mixed feeling. But the map is incredible, size, light, design, detail... I never used fast traveling, and never felt boring Gun and hack feel useless at first, but if you specialize it, you become a killing machine and change the way you play it. Well, melee weapon dont feel useless even with 0 perk in it, maybe they have to balance that, but overall, i really like the importance that your perk can make. Other thing i liked is that is every chit chat is made by phone, only important chat is scenarised and all. The progression is really smooth, like there is not empty part where you are like 'what the fuck i am suposed to do', sometime you finish a contract and right after an NPC call you and call for your help for secondary quest, and then an other one... Cars are badass :D, but liked my riding with motorcicle more. There is a lot of choice to do, sometimes important sometimes not so much, but sometimes you get why they were important way too late :D But i really insist on the 60% 40% feelling i tried to explain. if you can focus on what is in this game it can be an amazing experience, really, but if you only focus on the 40% that could have been, will be less than meh.

A masterpiece that needs some polishing

A truly masterpiece. A game that surprises me every minute with an amazing story and extraordinary graphics. Whoever thinks that a game of this dimension and complexity would be perfect at launch: stop being delusional. I am sure the developers are patching as fast as they can, and the critics that I read over and over are so minimal that they don’t even deserve to be considered. One of the bugs or problems that I found bother me, simply because all the other positive aspects of the game outweighs the bad ones. Simply put. I am running an AMD XT 5800 and everything runs perfectly well with maximum settings. This game is a real masterpiece that needs to be loved. Don’t be picky. This is NOT GTA.l, so don’t compare or think that it is. I am truly impressed with game, seriously. The continuous cutscenes within the game are impressive. No breaks or cuts, it is like a single long camera shooting. Hats off! Obviously, I admit that I already experienced a couple of bugs, and some things are probably not the best but why should I complain if all the rest is amazingly well designed and well developed? I love it. One of my favourite games, I believe I can commit to this statement.

Very good game

A gigantic amount of content and other stuff can be experienced in this game. Say no to asset flips and micro transactions

Good game

Despite lot of reviews and knowing the game has bugs, I bought it. CD Projekt is going to fix them. Bugs happen. I am myself a programmer and I know how this stuff works, how deadlines must be met at all cost, how stuff must be released before it is finished. Just don't blame programmers, that is not their fault, yet they are the ones that will be sad from reviews the most and who will spend xmas and new year polishing the game. Back to the game. I actually like it. Story is good, gameplay is good. Few glitches here and there, but nothing serious or game breaking, at least not for me. What kind of disappointed me was lack of consequences of my desisions. But for this, I must, again, blame investors and leaders, it is their fault the release was rushed it and didn't let programmers and story writers to polish it. Because of this, it somehow has little to no replayability. The 3 life path missions are short, different endings can be all done from before "no return" save and everything in middle is more or less same, no matter the choices. I have spent 100 hours in the game and I don't regret the purchase, the 60eur is ok price for what I got, I had more fun than with more expensive templated games from one very well known company :-) Happy new year to CD Projekt devs and thank you for the game, keep it up, polish it a bit and looking forward to DLCs.

Great game, it keeps you playing

The game tells a good story in a great way, taken directly from the source material. Lots of possible resolutions for every encounter, but on the other hand I didn't see choice&consequence matter in the long run, apart from a few cases. It's an Action-RPG who tries to be a Deus Ex on steroids, having highs and lows on that, incurring in a many great technical difficulties and an even higher expectation bar. The technical ordeal is on the eyes/ears of everyone, in 84 hrs of play I counted a pair of bug really annoyingly, but of course your mileage may vary. It's a big game, no deny on that.
