I haven`t played the game that much but i love it. I will wait for the next Cyberpunk but you should give it a little more time in programming and debugging. Don`t rush over the debugging phase it is a essential part of programming.
This game is really much better than before on the release. I bought this game for Xbox and was very dissapointed with the amount of bugs wich made the game almost unplayable. Saw it for 30 bucks here and decided to buy it for PC. The game has improved enormously since the release and I've played for 38 hours (at the moment of writing this review) with 0 crashes.
I agree with other people's reviews that you don't 'bond' with other characters in the game, but personally I don't care too much about that. I like to wander around in a surreal world finishing missions the way I want to. Love playing it (again)!
I started playing after the 1.6 update and am roghly 12 hours in that I really enjoyed. I play it through GeForce Now so I can appreciate the nice visuals. Atmosphere and story is the highlights thus far. What felt like "plastic" charachters in the prologue grew on me considerably. I like the freedom to play story missions and side quests in whichever order preferred. Gunplay is enjoyable and the choice to go stealth or all guns out is nice.
Cyberpunk had the potential to become as successful as the Witcher game series.
Right now the game is in a decent shape, it still has quite a few bugs, but nothing that bothers much or that a reload can't solve.
Anyhow the game still doesn't feel like it was promised to be. For me this has 2 reasons:
- The main story content is good, but it is simply too less. Missions and interactions with some main characters are too short and unsatisfyingly onesided.
- Tell me one point the open world of Cyberpunk is doing better than Grand Theft Auto. Yes, there is none. Night City is big enough, but it often lacks character. Nothing besides a treasure chest will surprise you. Meanwhile I keep shooting at civilians that run around like headless chickens or that just keep standing in front of enemies.
I give 4 stars for Cyberpunk, because it is still a decent game with interesting characters. I recommend it to anyone who doesn't expect it to be the holy grail of dystopian sci-fi RPG's.
-- CD Project Red fueled the hype train and disappointed a lot of customers. It has depleted the credit of trust I had in this company. No more pre-orders unless they do it better next time --
