I completed main and additional quests. Main quests are short, but additional quest complement the world well. I saw all ending of game, except secret anding. They are hopeless, scaring, inspiring. They are awesome. CDPR I want to say you thank you very. I hope that you deal with problems and I will return in The New Night City. I believe in you.
Good:
- Amazing graphics
- Great sound (but the radio station music is not in my taste)
- Addictive storyline
- Nonstandard RPG
- Nice shooting feeling
- Interesting hacking
- Beautiful, brutal world
- Optimization is not that bad (Ryzen 5 2600 and RTX 2060 - stable 60-70 FPS on Ultra/HIgh settings without RT (1440p resolution). 40-50 FPS in crowded places)
Bad:
- A little bit buggy (but I know worse cases)
- Lots of boring random world events
- Huge amount of useless guns
- Sometimes the townspeople act stupid
This game is amazing! Been waiting years to play it and even built and upgraded my current PC with newer hardware just to ensure I’d not run into any issues, had a few bugs upon playing but they rolled out patches very quickly to rectify the problems! Just finished my first play through as Nomad, can’t wait to try out the street kid and corpo stories! Also really looking forward to DLC and more updates! Keep up the good work CDPR!
I enjoyed cyberpunk immensely.
CDPR delivered an experience that I really enjoyed.
For parts of it I felt joy, others disbelief, and for some parts I got downright miserable.
The stealth gameplay is risky and challenging, the gunplay feels good. Rushing an enemy with a melee weapon is a ton of fun. I like the logical puzzle that you do for some hacks and the quickhacks is a great enhancement for the other gameplay systems.
I based my purchase on the gameplay reveal trailer, the setting, my trust that CDPR would deliver something I would enjoy and the pre-launch reviews.
I am very happy with my purchase.
The game isn't flawless though.
Some character's dialogue and behavior should change somewhat based on some factors. I reloaded a few times to play out a sequence because I didn't understand how the dialogue turned into the result I got.
I didn't enjoy the driving and I had to drive. My driving did get a lot better as I learned to interact with it better, but it never got better than a necessary chore to get where I wanted or to complete a mission.
I played for a while with badly calibrated gamma, because I didn't think about calibrating it, a lot of games where that might be necessary forces you to calibrate on the initial launch - cyberpunk didn't.
There are bugs. Some minor, some major. Most major ones are gone, some troublesome ones remain. A lot of small bugs remain. I fully expect CDPR to fix most of the remaining bugs.
Yet I had a blast. This game scratched an itch that I didn't really know that I had. I didn't know what I wanted, but Cyberpunk 2077 delivered.
Witcher 2 and 3 left me wanting a bit less, Cyberpunk leaves me wanting more.
Theres a lot of trash talking about this game but I doubt many of them played it enough. I have a fairly old PC (6700k; 980ti) and I didn't experience a lot more glitches than other brand new titles. Yes there is an above average amount of glitches, to be clear, but it was by far playable on the PC.
I played the story through from start to finish as a Corpo, Nomad, and Street Kid and have 150 hours in the game, and Im still finding new stuff I've never seen before. There's so many endings and so much dialog that you could miss if you only have a single playthrough.
I didn't have any problem with the gamplay - driving/melee combat/rifles all worked as I would expect for any game. I did have to learn how to drive and every car is different so I tended to stick with the same one.
Stealth works great - if YOU use stealth (gameplay)! Those who say stealth doesnt work need to git gud: stealth is pretty realistic. When you spray and pray while crouched in a warehouse everyone can still hear you no matter how far you bend your knees! Taking one shot suppressed doesn't break stealth. So when you spray and pray your going to leave stealth and enter combat with whoever is in ear-shot.
Remapping Keys: I remapped my map and crouch key and didn't experience any issues.
If I could change anything it would be: the hardest setting increases HP and armor on enemies and I wish it increased enemy count. Overall it could be easier in act1 and more difficult in act 3. Also the NPC's in the crowds need more interaction, there's so many cool looking NPC's - some in vending stalls and dont open a merchant screen, they just say the same lines the other NPC's do. There seems to be an entire questline about Netwatch thats missing (DLC?), or I missed it in my playthroughs.
With all that said I can really see where all the time was spent: the story. To me its is a Masterpiece and I know CDPR will continue to update it as they did with the witcher, which released in a similar state.
