I love it! There's so much heart, so much soul to the game! Despite the odd bugs and glitches, I have yet to experienced anything game breaking. I'm looking forward to jumping right back in for a second or third playthrough of the game when it is polished to shine.
To put it simply: Cyberpunk 2077 is a surprisingly fun experience for how buggy and messy it gets. But the exhilaration of exploring Night City is chipped by the slow realization of how shallow systems like driving AI and NPC encounters are at times, and shredded by how often the game will bug out or flat out crash. While bugs for my own gameplay were only barely impactful at the beginning of the game, I now experience multiple crashes in a short period of time while exploring the city, which absolutely dampens my enthusiasm for the game. Upon widespread fixes and patches, I'm sure I'll update this review to be more favorable, but until then I'm more impressed that I still enjoy Cyberpunk 2077 despite its bugs compared to enjoying the game because of its unique and exciting features.
I am not disappointed. Night City is huge and filled with life. The graphics look gorgeous and gameplay with all the decisions you make and character stories is thrilling. I clearly recommend the game on PC.
However make sure your hardware is good enough: The game hits the hardware really hard. I get ~75fps on a mix of medium-high settings, on an i7-8700K, 16GB RAM and a Titan Xp. RAM usage in game is ~7GB and VRAM usage is ~6GB, but the CPU is brought almost to the limit at ~80%. With my Pascal GPU, I can't use ray-tracing, but let me tell you: The game just on ransterization and screen-space reflections looks amazing.
There are a few visual bugs occasionally, but this is by no means game-breaking. A lot of things have already been patched and things are likely to improve.
All in all, the game is the new "but can it run Crysis", setting new standards in computer game visuals and pushing hardware vendors to innovation. If your hardware can handle it, give it a go.
I played this game for 40 hours and i am not disapointed. The controls are good except for the skip dialog button. But you can switch it so that doesn't matter. The story is interessting and the graphics are beautiful. The game crashed two times on the first game but after the hotfix this that didn't happen again. Sometimes I can't hear the voice in a dialogue but after I reload the save that problem is gone. I can also see cars that get kicked around without a cause but thats no problem. I love the game right now and I am sure that all smal bugs will be fixed after some time.
