Two things that I am enjoying the most in this game are the story and exploring.
Currently there is a lot of bugs but I still find cyberpunk great.
Giving 5 because I believe CDPR is on a right way and many of current problems will be solved over time.
At the point of writing the review I have played just above 20h so I might not have the full experience of the game, but one thing is clear. The game is buggy. Your vehicles spawning inside of other objects, lip synching sometimes just... doesn't, characters holding items during cutscenes they shouldn't hold, NPCs "T-posing", cars spawning out of nowhere and the list just goes on.
The default control setup, is not the greatest but not that game breaking. Yes binding C to skip dialogue wasn't the greatest idea on part of the design team since that is the same button to toggle crouch. Whoever came up with that idea on the dev team should get a post-it note on they back saying "I am a naughty developer". Same goes for the person who though it was a good idea to make dodging be a double press on the "WASD". All of this can be changed in "C:\Users\*USER*\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\UserSettings.json\"
Performance on PC is alright (medium-high settings, RT off + DLSS auto), but it feels like a lot of optimization could be done.
Otherwise I am pretty happy with the game. Story is good, side quests are engaging and gameplay is fun. On the other hand the game isn't as good as it was hyped to be, but that is always like that with really hyped games, so I am not that suprised. Still happy with the pre-order and I trust CD Projekt Red will fix the bugs and improve the game.
PS: I have played all the Fallouts (not counting 76) and Skyrim... Bugs and editing game files is nothing new ;)
playing Cyberpunk was like my first time having sex: kind of disappointing
not realy because it was bad, my expectations were just unrealistic high. Like I would be in heaven when I first jack in. But it was just nice.
+The visual and level design is top. Every corner of the world was very detailed and interesting to look at
+ NPCs speak in their own langauge and have their own cultural attidude, like a japanese wouldnt yell profanitys at you, only tell "you suck" in an elaborate way
+creative clothing styles with lots of variety
+no racism, no "white man bad", "diversity is a strength" narrative, black people are not only african american i.e. a black russian. The city has actualy different cultures and not just U.S. Americans with different skin tones (looking at you Project Zero Dawn)
+- noticed lots of visual bugs, dont realy care about them. No crashes. In 80h had to restart game 4 times due to bugs, but still way less than playing against a sniper who oneshoted my underleveled ass.
+- story is kind of nice. What I would expect from CDPR.
Didnt like the pedophile mission. So much hypocrisy, that it broke my immersion. With the general narrative i had the feeling, you could just buy a kid for 50 Eurodollar from your local organ harvesting gang. But no, lets get all emotional to vilify the pedo and even call in 2 trauma medivacs, which the trailer-park-broke ass couldt afford even if she sold herself.
+- kinda sad that the only romance option for straight male is Panam
The game needs:
-attributes and perks to be rebalanced and have more impact
(10% less fall damage perk XD)
-much less inflating dps and armor, would also fix the crafting system a bit
-visual difference between grunts and elites, not just lvl and colored icons
would originaly give 4 stars, but I disagree with the other reviews and the overall negative ratings. I mean did you people ever played witcher 3? Bad driving on roach? Geralts movement indoors? Also Novigrad feels empty too.
Dunno why so many negative reviews, but honestly this was really fun for me. I never seen so many detailed building, small mini markets and other aspect of environment… Lots of good interesting story from my point of view, unfortunately forgettable as all AI come and go away. Engaging side quests that will make you laugh!
Some really annoying bugs here and there npc walking true door/wall, no voice or stuck which is fixable with loading older saved, and police appearing out of nowhere...Radio isn’t really what I was hoping for and some control still aren’t clear to me like switching radio…
Also, main plot pails in comparison to Witcher 3, You can literally just rush true no prob.
