Great game so far
The game at the moment is getting a lot of heat for 2 main aspects: technical and the game itself. My experience so far does not reflect most of these so I thought I should put that down. First of all the tech: the game runs fine on my mid-range, 4-year old PC (8Gb RAM, Radeon RX 480 with 8Gb, i5-6400 CPU, 7200 HDD). I didn't change any of the default settings that the game chose for me and it runs smoothly with no major glitches. No, it's not 60-fps at 4k, but I have no rig for that anyway. In terms of the bugs that I have encountered so far, it was weapons on two occasions dropping halfway through the floor and couldn't be looted, NPCs dropping in bizarre poses when they die and once my male V showing his private parts. What you make out of them is up to you, for me they are not game-breaking. In terms of the actual game itself, I have to say that originally I wasn't too hyped because I felt that CDPR went completely overboard with the marketing and it turned me off. However, after playing the game for a bit I am enjoying it more than I expected. To cut the long story short, it has the Witcher 3 blueprint all over it, but within a Cyberpunk setting, while obviously some things were changed, others were introduced and others do not exist at all (any Gwent-like game for example). I am loving Night City so far more than any map on Witcher 3 and I am spending a lot of my time chasing after any hot-spots for the loot and experience. There seem to be many legitimate ways to build your character and each new piece of gear you get makes you start thinking about the options again. Cyberpsychos are ace so far, a bit of open-world mini-bosses, while the stories and characters are likeable at the very least. Shooting is better than I expected, same with hacking, but the gig fist-fights seem overtuned. Your lifepath seems to affect dialogue options, and ways to progress missions because of that. Overall, I am thoroughly enjoying the game so far, more than I expected.
