Perfect? No. But plenty fun.
So I say this after 70-ish hours of gameplay. It's a decent game. Now that statement alone means I'm in the minority of players already, but as someone who is a reasonably casual gamer now (got to love working for a living) this game seriously kept me going. I remeber when Skyrim first came out, and I put in hundreds of hours into that, first on the PS3 and then on the PS4 (yes Todd got me twice) but that game also had some serious bugs in it. Did it stop me playing? No. Did it ruin the experience? Also no. Because I looked past the imperfections and enjoyed the parts that worked, and the glitchy weird stuff, just didn't bother me, I can't think of many games if any, that have been released in the last 10 years that have been perfect on day one. This game is a lot about mindset. If you approach it just wanting to have fun and enjoy a new world to explore and lose yourself in, you can absolutely do that. If you're wanting a hyper-real, graphically perfect, almost cinamatic experience, try something else.(or go and touch grass for the first time maybe) I'll try and bullet point things the best I can. If you want details then I'll happily answer messages. Is the game fun? Yes. Which I think is sort of lost on most people. Is the game worth it? Get it on sale or as a gift then yes Are there bugs? Yes. No worse than skyrim. Will my PC run this? My old GTX1650ti i7 based system could so you should be fine on most things. Are Project Red trying to fix things? Yes. The game is way more stable than it was and no doubt will continue to get better. Is there room for expansion? Absolutely, there is so much I would love to see added, how practical some of it would be I don't know, but the inspiration they have provided with this game is incredible. Will you be putting in more hours? Absolutely. I have completed less than 50% of the achivements so I'll be going back for more, and finding some of the things I missed first time round. Tl;dr - Get it, enjoy it.

Good game in a STUNNING city.
I am so pleased that I ignored the poor reviews! I am about 50 hours in and so far - apart from a single crash whilst driving through the desert - I have not experienced any major issues. Yes, (very) occasionally cars/people seem to pop in/out of scene, and I have seen a few NPC's prance about like puppets on strings, but this is rare and doesn't detract from the STUNNING graphics in Night City. I often drive long distances (rather than use the jump points) between missions just to see more of the city; which is - without exception - the most complete, realised city scape I have seen in a game. It feels like a real, breathing place, with thousands of people just going about their business. It's worth noting that NPC interactions/conversations are limited outside of specific quests - a little more AI would have been welcomed. I have not experienced any logic issues with any of the missions - except on one occasion when I needed to exit my own car and beat a psychotic taxi with my fists before the relevent end-scene was triggered :) Story so far is good, but - for me at least - not quite as emotionally fraught as the Witcher at it's best. Final bonus is - despite suffereing from motion sickness in many first-person games - I was fine with CP. Turning off motion blur, and turning on the little dot in the centre of the screen worked a treat. All in all - a very good game set in a breath-takingly realised city. For reference, I play at 2560x1440 with settings typically on Medium/High and maintain 59fps most of the time. My rig is a fairly old Crossfire VI / 1080TI / Ryzen 3900X, running Win 11.

Floored
When this game launched I heard about a lot of the bugs, and then I experienced some of them very early when I tried to play. I shelved the game for a year so as to not ruin it for myself while CDPR fixed and patched, and I've just completed my first full play through. In 30+ years of playing video games from OG Duke Nukem to today's AAA titles I have _never_ felt more attached to a character or NPCs in a game. This story absolutely blew me away. 7/5 stars I cannot recommend this game enough. The only disappointment I have is that it's over for now.
