Cyberpunk 2077 is the open-world story-driven game for connoisseurs of this category along with Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, Fallout: New Vegas, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt... I was looking forward to what could impress me after The Witcher 3 and I was not disappointed in my expectations.
After 500 hours of my first playthrough - I am delighted, I am amazed, I haven`t known that so amazing story can be written in the game.
Now the very emotional part :-) :
I enjoyed the content incredibly and cried like a child in the finale.
My virtual hero fell in love with Panam and chose to return to that who had become dear to him instead of possibility of digital immortality.
He could become the human in this crazy world of advertising, robots and implants.
J.Silverhand was cynical and annoying at the beginning. Later he became funny but not enough to sacrify own life to him.
The story is incredibly interesting and not simple. There are a lot of surprises, hidden stories for an attentive player.
The world of the game is very big and variable.
The city of opportunities, tears and entertainment is always hungry for someone's broken fate, always insatiable for someone's tragedies. The wastelands are different and very atmospheric. They are poisoned and wounded in part, boundless and calm, always different but inspiring hope.
I think to start playing again in order to try different versions of endings, but apparently I will choose with Panam again and again.
P.S. I hope that Cyberpunk 2077 is the good start of the franchising. I wish the Polish studio resilience and "no regrets".
After Witcher 3 release you had been tried to ignore considering your success was accident. Now they declared war to you.
The unprecedented "storm of shit" organized in the virtual communities is a direct confirmation of this.
The game on PC is good and it takes sadly too much flack for its own good so, thumbs up for the devs !
Of course it is nowhere near perfect : controls are facepalm, tedious non stop phone/sms spam, cars controls are bad, endings are a la Mass Effect 3, meaningless choices in quests, gonk agro AI and finally lack of optimisation but i have no doubt patchs + DLCs will correct this just like they did with The Witcher 3.
On the very good side, the OST is spot on, the immersion + design of NC is great, the Cyberpunk feeling that Humans are just cogs/expandable/live stock is there, character design genius (Panam anyone ? ;) )
Well, to me it is a good game to buy now and when polished in few months it will definitely be a must have.
Good game, after 100+ hours spent even with few minor bugs. Missing the free world feature.. There are MANY side quests, but you can't go punk in here and loot around - but should come with DLC. Will see. Now due to the bugs and not being a real RPG (like a shadowrun or fallout or atom) giving 80% because i also enjoy adventures (like indiana jones 4 and other classics). Playing on ultra details with nvidia 1080 and ryzen 7
