I've been playing it on my Xbox One with no problems. The only glitches I've seen are sometimes things and people will be stuck in walls or floating but it's no big deal and I can easily roleplay it into the story as a chip malfunction. The world is just so beautiful and feels real. The characters also feel like real people and the story is just amazing. Cyberpunk is truly one of the best games I have ever played. I plan on getting it for PC here on GOG soon since I am missing out on a few things added from the new patch that are not available for older consoles.
So, I played the game at the time of the release and I actually didn't run into that many issues, there were some glitches here and there... true... but, it wasn't that bad, for me it was pretty stable during the whole game.
However, I must admit that certain parts of the story were lacking a little and it felt unfinished in some areas so yeah, hopefully future DLCs may add some extra content to address that, other than that, I had a lot fun playing it :)
I got this as pre-order (PC) and have only had one truly negative experience, which was when the Delamain questline became garbled up for me by doing the "wrong" Delamain sub-mission first. This was in December 2020 when the game got out.
I don't really play GTA - I own all of those games, but could never be charmed by any of them. Cyberpunk 2077, on the other hand, definitely is for me. I really like the details, the characters, the huge city with all its predictions of the (alternative dystopian) future. I think it's really well done, and I play computer games since about 35 years, so I can see the sheer amount of work having gone into this, and I appreciate it for that alone.
This game is a new world and therefore, also kind of an experiment to the developers. Bugs are expected, given the size of everything, and I truly believe you can't just compare this to the quality of the Witcher 3 or GTA V, because this game is still being fleshed-out, and it probably will be for quite some time yet.
Also, whenever I read other reviews about this game being so incredibly bad, I wonder how pampered some people seem to have become, expecting absolute perfection from others right away, even given the amount of details and sheer work having gone into something. I think this in any case should be respected, and the game will become far greater over time still, as CDPR is still one of the *few* companies caring about its customers, from what I can see.
This is one of those few games that makes me marvel. Thank you, CDPR, for this.
Don't listen to sensationalist youtubers, this game is awesome. Quests are great and varied, there are no simple 'go there - deliver this' filler crap, every quest has a twist and interesting characters. Side quests have investigations, spiritual journeys, character development, solid cyberpunk themes. The main story is awesome and takes many unexpected turns, the world is immersive and overall I had a great experience playing this game. Quests are way way better than anything Bethesda created. I've seen no critical bugs on 1.5.2 PC version so far. The main quality of a great RPG is good writing, and this game delivers on that, same as Witcher. Combat is also fluid and engaging, I expected a much worse experience from it.
Some complaints for balance:
* There are too little different dialogue options - you can't really choose how V talks and behaves, all options are the same kinda edgy style.
* Vehicle controls are pretty bad on a keyboard.
* You can't shoot out of the vehicle and even from a motorcycle.
I refuse to buy DRMed games made by the owner of a store claiming to be DRM-free. It's small, but slippery slopes have one purpose, to accustom people to more and more DRM.
